Renascent
Renascent is an unblack metal band that originated in Helsinki, Finland, and the core of the band now currently reside in Bloomington, Indiana. The band has released an EP titled, ''Demon's Quest'' in 2004 and a full length titled ''Through Darkness'' in 2005. The band released their sophomore album, ''Praise of the Lord God Almighty'', on 5 November 2016. The band is openly Christian. The band has been compared to Dimmu Borgir and Old Man's Child. History Renascent started in the beginning of the year 2003. The band started with drummer Jani Stefanovic meeting guitarist Eero Tertsunen and keyboardist Mikaela Akrenius. The band official came up with their name the same week bassist Voitto Rintala joined the band. In Summer 2004, the band hired Barry Hilliden to become their vocalist and the band recorded their debut release ''Demon's Quest''. Angel Of Sodom
Angel of Sodom is a thrash metal band that originated out of Helsinki, Finland. The band was created in 2009, founded by Eero Tertsunen, who also performs in Renascent, and Michael Majalahti. The band has released one studio album in 2015 and an EP in 2016. In 2016, the band went on a hiatus, due to Tertsunen moving to Bloomington, Indiana in the United States. History The project was created by Eero Tertsunen on guitars and Michael Majalahti on vocals. Majalahti and Tertsunen began writing new music and over the course of several years, eventually wrote and recorded a full-length album, which was titled ''Divine Retribution'', which was very well received. The album featured Rolf Pilve of Stratovarius on drums. Following the album, however, the band hoped to perform live and Pilve was unable to commit to live performances, leading them to hire on Joonas Heikkinen. Temple of Perdition is a black metal project that began in September 2017, between Ya'akov Nahash, Joonas Heikkinen, and Benainah, out of Texas in the United States and Finland. Shortly after their formation, the band signed with Vision of God Records. History Temple of Perdition began in September 2017, originating with the lineup of Ya'akov Nahash on vocals, guitars, bass, and keyboards, Benaiah on vocals, and Joonas Heikkinen on drums. Heikkinen also performed with bands including The Slave Eye, Angel Of Sodom, and Renascent. The band began writing and recording material, releasing a demo independently in late January 2018. However, the album was quickly taken down as the band signed with Vision of God shortly thereafter and released the demo through the new found outlet. However, the project sees contributions from North Carolina, Indiana, California, of the United States and Finland. Jani Stefanovic
Jani Stefanovic (born 23 May 1979) is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist that primarily plays Swedish death metal. Jani started playing around the age of 13–14 years old. Personal life Jani was born in Gothenburg, Sweden to a Finnish mother and a Serbian father. He moved to Helsinki, Finland in 1993 with his mom, little brother and sister. Jani lived in Finland until 2000. Jani moved back to Gothenburg, Sweden in 2000. After joining Sins of omission in 2002 he moved to Stockholm. Jani is an educated chef. Crimson Moonlight is a Sweden, Swedish unblack metal band. The band was formed in the summer of 1997 with the mere intention of recording a primitive old school black metal demo and playing one show before breaking up. However, the breakup never happened, and they have since recorded two EPs and three full-length albums. They were previously signed to Rivel Records, currently to Endtime Productions. Miseration is a Swedish death metal band formed in 2006. Their lyrics primarily deal with themes of inner struggles and religious conflict. Stratovarius is a Finnish power metal band that formed in 1985. Since their formation, they have released sixteen studio albums, five DVDs and six live albums. In its history, the band has gone through many chaotic lineup changes, and after founding guitarist Timo Tolkki's departure in 2008, there are no founding members of the band that remain. Currently, the longest standing member is singer Timo Kotipelto, who joined in 1994. The first incarnation of the band had the name Black Water, founded in August 1984 by singer and drummer Tuomo Lassila, guitarist Staffan Stråhlman, and bassist John Vihervä.
