Shin-shiro (album)
() is the third studio album by Japanese band Sakanaction. It was released on January 21, 2009 through Victor Entertainment. The release was the band's first album after relocating to Tokyo and moving to Victor Entertainment's main roster. Led by the singles " Sen to Rei" and " Native Dancer", the album became the group's first release to chart in the top 10 albums on Oricon's weekly album chart. ''Shin-shiro'' featured a different production approach to the band's previous albums. Band vocalist Ichiro Yamaguchi collaborated with a different member of the band in a two-person demo session for each songs, instead of their previous approach involving all five members working together. This approach was difficult for pianist Emi Okazaki, who had no experience with song production previously, and for drummer Keiichi Ejima, who learnt the guitar specifically to record demos for this album. The first finished demo, created by Yamaguchi and bassist Ami Kusakari's for the song "Sen to R ...

Sample (Sakanaction Song)
() is a song by Japanese band Sakanaction. Originally a song recorded by Sakanaction's vocalist Ichiro Yamaguchi's high-school band Dutchman in 2002, it was later released by Sakanaction on December 5, 2007 as a double A-side digital single alongside "Word", two months before the band's second album '' Night Fishing''. As the leading promotional track from ''Night Fishing'', "Sample" was heavily promoted on radio stations in Hokkaido in February, however did not receive noticeable national airplay. Since its release, "Sample" has become a staple of the band's live concert set-lists. Background and development Sakanaction was first formed in 2005 in Sapporo, Hokkaido. The band gained exposure in Hokkaido after winning the audition to perform as a newcomer artist at the Rising Sun Rock Festival in Otaru in August 2006, and after demos of their songs "Mikazuki Sunset" and "Shiranami Top Water" performed well on College Radio Japan Sapporo. The band were signed to major label Vict ...

Mikazuki Sunset
() is a song written by Japanese musician Ichiro Yamaguchi. Originally released as a concert-exclusive single in 2003 by his high school band Dutchman, it was the leading promotional song from Yamaguchi's major label band Sakanaction's debut studio album ''Go to the Future''. Background and development In 1998, Ichiro Yamaguchi while attending high school in Sapporo formed Dutchman, a rock band inspired by British rock. Yamaguchi acted as the band's vocalist and primary songwriter. In 2002, the band released ''Demonstration'', an album compiled of seven demos the band recorded between 2000 and 2002. "Mikazuki Sunset" was a song Yamaguchi wrote while still living at his family home in Tomioka-chō, Otaru, and was written for a girl he liked called Hanako. He wrote the song's words at the same time as the music, and was inspired by there actually being a crescent moon in the sky that night. In late 2002, the band began performing "Mikazuki Sunset", which had a markedly different ...

Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends
''Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends'', often referred to as simply ''Viva la Vida'', is the fourth studio album by British rock band Coldplay, released on 12 June 2008 on the Parlophone label. "Viva la vida" is a Spanish phrase that translates into English as "long live life", "live the life", or simply "live life" (lit. "the life lives"). Lyrically, the album contains references to love, life, death and war. Recording sessions for the album took place from June 2007 to April 2008 and featured production by Jon Hopkins, Rik Simpson, Markus Dravs, and Brian Eno. The album was Coldplay's first to be produced by Eno, and also their first album to not be produced by long-time Coldplay producer Ken Nelson. The band forced themselves to explore new styles, as Eno required every song on the album to sound different. Development of the album delayed the release date several times. The album cover of ''Viva la Vida'' is the 1830 painting ''Liberty Leading the People'' by Eugèn ...

Remix EPs
A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. A song, piece of artwork, book, video, poem, or photograph can all be remixes. The only characteristic of a remix is that it appropriates and changes other materials to create something new. Most commonly, remixes are a subset of audio mixing in music and song recordings. Songs may be remixed for a large variety of reasons: * to adapt or revise a song for radio or nightclub play * to create a stereo or surround sound version of a song where none was previously available * to improve the fidelity of an older song for which the original master has been lost or degraded * to alter a song to suit a specific music genre or radio format * to use some of the original song's materials in a new context, allowing the original song to reach a different audience * to alter a song for artistic purposes * to provide additional versions ...

Japanese-language EPs
is spoken natively by about 128 million people, primarily by Japanese people and primarily in Japan, the only country where it is the national language. Japanese belongs to the Japonic or Japanese- Ryukyuan language family. There have been many attempts to group the Japonic languages with other families such as the Ainu, Austroasiatic, Koreanic, and the now-discredited Altaic, but none of these proposals has gained widespread acceptance. Little is known of the language's prehistory, or when it first appeared in Japan. Chinese documents from the 3rd century AD recorded a few Japanese words, but substantial Old Japanese texts did not appear until the 8th century. From the Heian period (794–1185), there was a massive influx of Sino-Japanese vocabulary into the language, affecting the phonology of Early Middle Japanese. Late Middle Japanese (1185–1600) saw extensive grammatical changes and the first appearance of European loanwords. The basis of the standard dialect move ...

Ichiro Yamaguchi
, is a Japanese musician. He is the vocalist, guitarist and songwriter for the Hokkaido rock band Sakanaction. Biography Ichiro Yamaguchi was born in Otaru, Hokkaido in 1980. He grew up listening to a wide variety of music, as his father ran a business that acted as a cafe during the daytime and as a bar at night. His father had lived in Europe for many years, so often played music such as the German electronic band Kraftwerk. The business would occasionally hold performances for musicians, such as Japanese folk singer Masato Tomobe. This variety made it feel natural for Yamaguchi to create multi-genre music. Yamaguchi began to play music naturally, learning how to play the guitar after picking up an acoustic guitar that was in his parents home. The first songs he learnt on the guitar were Kaguya-hime/Iruka's 1970 folk song "Nagoriyuki" and Takuro Yoshida's "Kekkon Shiyō yo" (1972). He was inspired to write lyrics by the large number of second hand books his father bought, such ...
