Remix Album 98
''Remix Album '98'' is a compilation album released by the singer Alexia in 1998 in Poland. The album contained remixes of the four official singles from Alexia's debut album Fan Club along with the new track It's Christmas Time (a re-recorded version of Hold On with new lyrics) that had been released on the Christmas edition of Fan Club, two album tracks from Fan Club and a remix of Virtual Reality that was from a single release Alexia was credited to. Release The album was released on CD in Poland only on the Polygram label with Alexia's management company DWA not knowing of the release. It is assumed due to the title that it was released in 1998, however from 1998, all of Alexia's releases were through Dancepool, so it may be likely that this was released in late 1997 and named 'Remix Album '98' similar to the way that compilation albums released at the end of the year title themselves to the following year. Alexia (Italian Singer)
Alexia (born Alessia Aquilani, 19 May 1967) is an Italian singer. Before recording in Italian in the 2000s, she made records in English in the 1990s. Many of those were international hits. Before her solo career, she was the vocalist of Ice MC. In her career, she has sold over 6 million records with ten top 10 singles, four of which were number-ones with numerous international sales certifications. She has performed at the Festivalbar nine times, and four times at the Sanremo Music Festival in which she has earned, besides several music critic awards, three second-placings, and one first-placing in 2003. Co-written by Alexia, it was her third successive top 5 hit on the Italian singles chart. Also in both Finland and Spain, it peaked within the top 5. "Summer Is Crazy" is a song by Italian singer Alexia, released as the second single from her debut studio album, ''Fan Club'' (1997). Co-written by Roberto Zanetti and Alexia, the song was very successful, reaching number one on the Italian Singles Chart and becoming a Top 5 hit in both Finland and Spain. This was the first of two Alexia singles to feature radio jingles of the track on the CD. Virtual Reality (song)
"Virtual Reality" is a single released by the Italian singer Alexia solely in Finland in 1997. The song was released on two-track CD only by Dancepool in 1997. Alexia's management team at DWA (who had been releasing and licensing all of Alexia's music) did not know about the release of this single. Instead a version of "Virtual Reality" credited to E.Y.E. featuring Alexia was released by DWA in Italy in early 1997. Only samples of Alexia's vocals rather than the whole song were used, though the music was the same. The E.Y.E. version was released before Alexia's debut album ''Fan Club'' was released, which contained the track. Roberto Zanetti (born 28 November 1956) is an Italian singer and music producer from Massa, Tuscany. As a singer, he is known under the stage name Savage and as a music producer he uses the alias Robyx. In 1989, he recorded " I Just Died in Your Arms" (a hi-NRG remake of the Cutting Crew song), as well as a greatest hits album. "Hold On" is a single released by the Italian singer Alexia solely in Brazil in 1997. It was the only single released during Alexia's time with DWA that was not written by Alexia and Robyx. It was released on CD only by Spotlight in 1997 with a commission of remixes. Alexia's management team at DWA (who had been releasing and licensing all of Alexia's music) did not know about the release of this single, though they have now released the track on some online stores. The CD included the song "It's Christmas Time" which is actually "Hold On" with different lyrics. "It's Christmas Time" was later featured on the Limited edition Christmas version of ''Fan Club''. It was one of the songs of the Brazilian soap opera Por Amor.
