Remetinec Roundabout
The Remetinec Roundabout ( hr, Remetinečki rotor, or simply ) is a large roundabout in the Novi Zagreb – zapad part of Zagreb, Croatia. Having three lanes, with an outer radius of , it connects Adriatic Bridge, Jadranska Avenue, Dubrovnik Avenue, and Remetinec Road. Inside traffic has the right of way, but the rightmost approaching lanes from the north, east and southwest are separated from the exiting traffic, reducing congestion for those three immediate right turns. The roundabout itself is elevated from the ground level and two tram lines and several pedestrian tracks pass underneath it. Lanište is a neighborhood in the Novi Zagreb - zapad city district in Zagreb, Croatia. It is located along the Jadranska Avenue, south of the Sava River, across from the neighbourhood of Jarun. It has a population of 3,468. Its main thoroughfares are Jadranska Avenue, Lanište Road and Remetinečka Road. It is the site of the Arena Zagreb, and Arena shopping center. Trokut
Trokut ( English: ''Triangle'') is a quarter in Novi Zagreb - zapad (New Zagreb - West). It is surrounded by five other quarters: Kajzerica (north), Remetinec (southwest), Sveta Klara (south), Trnsko (southeast, east) and Savski gaj (west). The quarter's name comes from the word triangle, because of the intersection of three railroads, which has an isosceles triangle shape. Trokut is located in the middle of the intersection. It is administratively part of Savski gaj. The quarter is made of more than 500 houses. Trokut can be accessed from Trnsko, Savski gaj and Sveta Klara. Zagreb Fair ( hr, Zagrebački velesajam) is a complex of exhibition pavilions in Zagreb, Croatia. The company which operates the venue carries the same name. The Zagreb Fair is the main venue in Zagreb for trade shows and fairs. Every year more than 25 specialised events are held at the venue, attended by more than 6,000 participants from 50 countries. Zagreb Hippodrome
Zagreb Hippodrome ( hr, Zagrebački hipodrom) is a horse racing venue in Zagreb, Croatia. It was built from 1947 to 1950, with a design based on the Longchamp Racecourse in Paris. Remetinec prison (officially ''Prison in Zagreb'', hr, Zatvor u Zagrebu) is a closed-type prison located in the Remetinec neighborhood of Zagreb, Croatia. The prison's capacity is 560 inmates, making it the largest prison in Croatia. In July 2012 it housed 904 prisoners and detainees, up from 850 in March 2009. The prison's overcrowding problem is also a major problem of the Croatian prison system in general. Poor living conditions led to a prisoners' hunger strike in May 2008.
