Skorpa is an island in the municipality in Kinn in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies about west of the town of Florø in a large group of inhabited islands. Skorpa lies about north of the islands of Reksta and Kinn and about south of the island of Fanøya. The island is rocky, mountainous, and barren. Kinn
Kinn is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It was established on 1 January 2020. It is in the traditional districts of Nordfjord and Sunnfjord. The municipality is the only non-contiguous municipality in Norway since the municipality of Bremanger lies in between the north and south parts of Kinn. The administrative centres of the municipality is the two cities of Florø and Måløy. Some villages in the municipality include Rognaldsvåg, Stavang, Grov, Norddalsfjord, Nyttingnes, Steinhovden, Brandsøy, Deknepollen, Holvika, Kvalheim, Langeneset, Raudeberg, Refvika, Silda, Tennebø, Vedvika, and Vågsvåg. Historically, there was another municipality of Kinn in Norway that existed from 1838 until 1964. The "old" Kinn roughly corresponded to the southern part of the "new" municipality of Kinn. Florø
is a town and the administrative centre of the municipality of Kinn, Vestland, Norway. The town was founded by royal decree in 1860 as a ladested on the island of Florelandet, located between the Botnafjorden and Solheimsfjorden. Florø is Norway's (and thus the Scandinavian Peninsula's) westernmost town. It is the most western town on the mainland in the Nordic countries. Kinn is an island in Kinn Municipality which is in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies about west of the town of Florø. The neighboring island of Reksta (where the village of Rognaldsvåg is located) lies just to the east of Kinn, the island of Skorpa lies about northeast of Kinn, and the island of Askrova lies about to the southeast. Askrova
Askrova is an island in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located along the Brufjorden, near the mouth of the Førdefjorden, about northwest of the island of Svanøya. Askrova sits about southwest of the town of Florø and about the same distance southeast of the island of Reksta. The population of the island (2001) was 143, with most residents living on the south and west shores of the island. The tall mountain ''Skara'' is the highest point on the island. Askrova Chapel is located on the island. The main industry for the island is fishing. In 1936, there was a record catch of herring at Askrova. Official figures put it at between of herring. Rognaldsvåg
Rognaldsvåg is a fishing village in the municipality of Kinn in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the western end of the island of Reksta, less than east of the island of Kinn and about south of the island of Skorpa. The town of Florø is located about to the east and the island of Askrova is to the southeast. The small village has about 80 residents (as of 2012). The village has two ports with a distinctive channel between them where boathouses are close together. Vestland is a county in Norway established on 1 January 2020. The county is located in Western Norway and it is centred around the city of Bergen, Norway's second largest city. The administrative centre of the county is the city of Bergen, where the executive and political leadership is based, but the County Governor is based in Hermansverk.
