Rein Lang
Rein Lang (born 4 July 1957) is an Estonian politician, a member of the Estonian Reform Party since 1995, and a diplomat. He was the Minister of Culture in Andrus Ansip's third cabinet until his resignation. Personal life Lang was born at Tartu. His father was appointed to work at the Soviet embassy in Helsinki; consequently, Rein Lang grew up partly in Finland, becoming a fluent speaker of Finnish. He has championed Finnish-Estonian relations. Lang received elementary and high school education in Tallinn English College (then known as 7th High School of Tallinn) and graduated ''cum laude'' from the University of Tartu in 1980, acquiring a degree in law. His most popular programme, the weekly 'Midday Hour' ( et, Keskpäevatund), has become legendary, and a subject of a number of jokes mostly associated with Valdo Jahilo. Radio Kuku
Radio Kuku ( et, Raadio Kuku, also called ''Kuku-raadio'') is an Estonian radio station. It was the first politically independent privately owned radio station in post-occupation Estonia, established in 1992 by a media businessman and later politician Rein Lang and a founder of the first politically independent newspaper ''Eesti Ekspress'', Hans H. Luik. In the winter of 2014, Kuku had 144,000 regular listeners and was the most popular private radio station in Estonia among the Estonian-speaking population. Linnahall
Linnahall ( et, Tallinna Linnahall, 'Tallinn City Hall') (originally the V. I. Lenin Palace of Culture and Sports) is a multi-purpose venue in Tallinn, Estonia. It is situated in the harbor, just beyond the walls of the Old Town, and was completed in 1980. The venue also features a heliport and a small seaport. Venue The 1980 Summer Olympics were hosted in Moscow in 1980. As inland Moscow had no suitable venue at which to stage the sailing event, this task fell to Tallinn, the capital of the then Estonian SSR. Apart from the main venue for the sailing event, Pirita Yachting Centre, a number of other sports and entertainment facilities were erected, among them the V. I. Latin honors are a system of Latin phrases used in some colleges and universities to indicate the level of distinction with which an academic degree has been earned. The system is primarily used in the United States.
