Rein Aren
Rein Aren (25 December 1927 Tartu – 16 May 1990 Tallinn) was an Estonian actor. In 1951 he graduated from GITIS' Estonian studio. From 1946 until 1949, he was a choir singer and ballet dancer at Vanemuine theatre. From 1951 until 1972, and again from 1979, he worked at Estonian Drama Theatre. From 1973 until 1979, he worked at Russian Theatre. Besides theatre roles he played also in several films. His younger brother was ballet dancer and actor Väino Aren Väino Aren (11 August 1933 – 18 April 2023) was an Estonian ballet dancer, actor, and operetta singer. Reins are items of horse tack, used to direct a horse or other animal used for riding. They are long straps that can be made of leather, nylon, metal, or other materials, and attach to a bridle via either its bit or its noseband. Use for riding Reins are used to give subtle commands or cues, also known as rein aids. Various commands may signal a turn, ask for a slower speed, request a halt or rein back. Rein aids are used along with leg aids, shifting of body weight, and sometimes voice commands. Harness reins On some types of harnesses there might be supporting rings or "terrets" used to carry the reins over the animal's back. When pairs of equines are used in drawing a wagon or coach it is usual for the outer side of each pair to be connected to the reins and for the inside of the bits to be connected between the pair of horses by a short bridging strap or rope. ''Regina'' (trad. "Queen") is a 1987 Cinema of Italy, Italian drama film co-written and directed by Salvatore Piscicelli. Plot Regina is a beautiful actress of forty in an existential crisis. During a party in the house of his agent Lalla he meets Lorenzo, a young man with whom he establishes a troubled relationship. Their relationship gradually consolidates, but in a sadomasochistic way: the violence and mutual humiliation between the two are continuous. Upon returning to the city after a vacation spent on an island, Regina no longer intends to see Lorenzo and closes herself in the house. But Lalla makes them meet again. In their dramatic encounter, Regina offends Lorenzo and injures her arm with a knife, telling him she would report him. Lorenzo takes the knife in his hand and hits Regina. Tartu
Tartu is the second largest city in Estonia after the Northern European country's political and financial capital, Tallinn. Tartu has a population of 91,407 (as of 2021). ''Dangerous Curves'' ( et, Ohtlikud kurvid) is a 1962 Soviet film. It is a remake of the 1959 film ''Naughty Curves'' (also known as ''Mischievous Curves'') ( et, Vallatud kurvid). The plot revolves around two rival motorcyclists' love for one of the two twin sisters. The film was shot in Estonia in 1960–61, and released internationally in 1962. It was filmed in the Soviet-designed Kinopanorama format. In 1999, Fifth Continent Australia Pty Ltd and Vision 146 SARL commissioned the restoration of two reels from the eleven-reel film. These have since been screened at the former New Neon Movies in Dayton, Ohio, the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California, and most recently at the Bradford Widescreen Festival on 19 March 2008.
