Fritz Reiche (July 4, 1883 – January 14, 1969) was a German physicist, a student of Max Planck and a colleague of Albert Einstein, who was active in, and made important contributions to the early development of quantum mechanics including co-authoring the Thomas-Reiche-Kuhn sum rule. Fritz Reiche was born in 1883 in Berlin, Germany. In 1901 and 1902, he attended the University of Munich and he attended the University of Berlin from 1902 to 1907, where he received his PhD. From 1913 to 1920 as privatdozent he worked and taught under Planck in Berlin. Reiche published more than 55 scientific papers and books including ''The Quantum Theory''. Gottfried Reiche (; 5 February 1667 6 October 1734) was a German trumpet player and composer of the Baroque era. Reiche is best known for having been Johann Sebastian Bach's chief trumpeter at Leipzig from Bach's arrival there in 1723 until Reiche's death. Biography Reiche was steeped in trumpet playing from an early age – he was born in the town of Weissenfels, Germany which had a long tradition of trumpet music at its court. He went to Leipzig in 1688, eventually succeeding trumpeter Johann C. Genzmer there as ''Senior Stadtmusicus'' in 1719. Reiche was a musician of great skill, if one can judge from the trumpet parts written for him by Bach. Louis Jérôme Reiche (20 December 1799, Gorinchem, Netherlands – 16 May 1890, Neuilly-sur-Seine), was a French merchant, manufacturer and entomologist. Reiche travelled widely in Europe making a large insect collection principally of beetles. He wrote 65 scientific papers and was a founder of the Société entomologique de France becoming president on six occasions. Maria Reiche Grosse-Neumann (15 May 1903 – 8 June 1998) was a German-born Peruvian mathematician, archaeologist, and technical translator. She is known for her research into the Nazca Lines, which she first saw in 1941 together with American historian Paul Kosok. Known as the "Lady of the Lines", Reiche made the documentation, preservation and public dissemination of the Nazca Lines her life's work. She was widely recognized as the curator of the lines and lived nearby to protect them. Reiche is best known for being the co-creator, together with Fred Ford, of the '' Star Control'' universe. Reimut Reiche (born June 20, 1941, in Esslingen am Neckar) is a German sociologist, sexologist, author and psychoanalyst. In his early years Reiche was an activist in Sozialistischer Deutscher Studentenbund (SDS) and he became president of the SDS in 1966.
