Jewish Museum (Manhattan)
The Jewish Museum is an art museum and repository of cultural artifacts, housed at 1109 Fifth Avenue, in the former Felix M. Warburg House, along Museum Mile on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. The first Jewish museum in the United States, as well as the oldest existing Jewish museum in the world, it contains the largest collection of art and Jewish culture excluding Israeli museums, more than 30,000 objects. While its collection was established in 1904 at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, the museum did not open to the public until 1947 when Felix Warburg's widow sold the property to the Seminary. Mana Contemporary
Mana Contemporary is a cultural center in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States with affiliated centers in Chicago and Miami. History and Founder Opened in May 2011, the center was founded by moving company mogul Moishe Mana. Shai Baitel and the artist Yigal Ozeri are among the co-founders. The one million square foot facility in Jersey city is situated in a 1920s-era brick former manufacturing building in the city's Marion Section near Marion Junction that is also an extension of the fine arts transportation department of Moishe's Moving Systems. In 2021 Mana Contemporary's Executive Director Eugene Lemay was placed on administrative leave due to his indictment of tax fraud and conspiracy for evading to pay nearly $8 million to the IRS while helping to run Moishe's Moving Systems. PIPA Prize
PIPA Prize is a Brazilian arts award of the PIPA Institute. From 2010 to 2018, PIPA had a partnership with the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro – MAM-Rio. In 2019, the PIPA Prize's exhibition was held at Villa Aymoré, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The prize was created to promote Brazilian art and artists by stimulating the domestic contemporary art production; motivating and supporting new (but not necessarily young) Brazilian artists. Although it supports up-and-coming artists, the PIPA Prize's goal is not to discover new talents, but to recognize new Brazilian contemporary artists that already have a critical following and a place in the art market. The ''Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo'' (Portuguese for "pinacotheca (picture gallery) of the state of São Paulo") is one of the most important art museums in Brazil.
