Reegan O'Gorman
Reegan O'Gorman (born 7 May 1996) is a Canadian rugby union player, currently playing for the New England Free Jacks in Major League Rugby (MLR) and the Canadian national side. His preferred position is lock. He previously played for the Austin Gilgronis in MLR. Professional career O'Gorman signed for Major League Rugby side Austin Gilgronis ahead of the 2021 Major League Rugby season. He had previously signed for the Toronto Arrows for the 2020 Major League Rugby season, however the move was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2017 Americas Rugby Championship was the second series of the Americas Rugby Championship (sometimes informally called the "Americas Six Nations", a reference to Europe's Six Nations Championship), which is the top elite tournament for the Americas nations. The 2020 Major League Rugby season was the third season of Major League Rugby, the professional rugby union competition sanctioned by USA Rugby. Lock (rugby Union)
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and Line-out (rugby union), line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs. Toronto Arrows R.F.C. is a rugby union club based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, that plays in Major League Rugby. The Arrows team is an independent off-shoot of the Ontario Blues provincial programme and is funded by a group of private investors and supporters.
