2017 Americas Rugby Championship
The 2017 Americas Rugby Championship was the second series of the Americas Rugby Championship (sometimes informally called the "Americas Six Nations", a reference to Europe's Six Nations Championship), which is the top elite tournament for the Americas nations. It was contested by Argentina XV (Argentina's secondary national team), Canada, United States, Uruguay, Brazil, and Chile. All matches were full international test matches with caps awarded, except those involving Argentina XV. Ben Cima
Benjamin Cima (born March 20, 1996) is an American rugby union player who plays fly-half for the United States men's national team. Cima also plays for the Seattle Seawolves in Major League Rugby (MLR). Cima formerly played club rugby for Rocky Gorge and also played at the international level for the United States men's national under-20 team and the USA Selects. Early life Ben Cima was born in Argentina, the son of former La Salle rugby player, Marcelo Cima. At the age of seven, Cima moved to the United States. Cima was named an All-American in rugby during each of his final three years in high school, and in 2014 led Gonzaga College to its first national championship in rugby at the High School National Invitational tournament. Felipe Contepomi
Felipe Contepomi (born 20 August 1977) is an Argentine rugby coach who is currently the backs coach at Leinster Rugby. He was a rugby union footballer who played fly-half or centre; his last club was Club Newman, in the first division of the URBA championship. He was also a key player for Argentina, having played 15 years for the national team. His twin brother Manuel was also a ''Puma''. In June 2015 he was appointed coach of Argentina XV. Contepomi was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in November 2017. Ray Barkwill
Raymond "Ray" Barkwill (born 26 August 1980) is a retired Canadian rugby union player who played for a number of teams before ending his career at Seattle Seawolves of Major League Rugby where he helped win the inaugural title including scoring a try in the final. Ray also played for the Canada national rugby union team and was the first Canadian to play in Super Rugby. Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Barkwill began playing his rugby at Westlane Secondary School along with Niagara Wasp RFC, it was here that he and teammates learned the invaluable "Tooq Bomb". Mark Anscombe
Mark Anscombe (born 1957) is a New Zealand rugby union coach, having played rugby spanning across 15 years. Anscombe (father of Welsh international Gareth Anscombe) has been a rugby union coach since 1994, coaching various ages and styles in both hemispheres. He is a former head coach of the Canadian national team. Anscombe played over 200 club games for East Coast Bays from 1976 to 1991. Anscombe captained East Coast Bays to back to back Harbour Club championships in 1985 and 1986 over North Shore and Takapuna respectively. Carlos Rodolfo Ambrosio (born 27 December 1961 in Córdoba) is an Argentine rugby union former player and a current coach. He played as a fly-half and as a centre. Player career He played for Tala Rugby Club, in Córdoba, Argentina. He was the first Italian-Argentine to play for Italy.
