CMD Group, formerly Reed Construction Data and Construction Market Data, is a provider of business information for the North American construction industry. CMD is owned by ConstructConnect. Its historical roots lie in Construction Market Data, founded in 1982 to publish construction leads and market data. In 2000, London-based Reed Elsevier purchased this original CMD Group, transitioning the company to Reed Construction Data. In October 2014 private equity firm Warburg Pincus in New York purchased a majority stake in the company, and Reed Construction Data changed its name to CMD.
