Redrum (21 Savage Song)
"Redrum" is a song by British-American rapper 21 Savage from his ninth studio album, '' American Dream'' (2024). The record was produced and co-written by London on da Track and samples vocals from Brazilian songstress, Elza Laranjeira's "Serenata do Adeus". The song title is also a reference to the Stanley Kubrick film '' The Shining'', which is based on the novel by Stephen King of the same name. American singer-songwriter Usher is credited for additional vocals in the outro of the song where he recites the taunt from The Three Little Pigs followed by the iconic "Here's Johnny!" line from the aforementioned film. Composition Matthew Ritchie for '' Pitchfork'' described the track to have "drawn-out distribution of his murderous wordplay" that "makes it feel as though he’s almost veering off the tracks". ''Rolling Stone''s Mosi Reeves described the song as "murderous", noting that it "leans on" Elza Laranjeira's "Serenata Do Adeus". Critical reception Robin Murray for '' Clash ...

Audio Mixing (recorded Music)
In sound recording and reproduction, audio mixing is the process of optimizing and combining multitrack recordings into a final mono, stereo or surround sound product. In the process of combining the separate tracks, their relative levels are adjusted and balanced and various processes such as equalization and compression are commonly applied to individual tracks, groups of tracks, and the overall mix. In stereo and surround sound mixing, the placement of the tracks within the stereo (or surround) field are adjusted and balanced. Audio mixing techniques and approaches vary widely and have a significant influence on the final product. Audio mixing techniques largely depend on music genres and the quality of sound recordings involved. The process is generally carried out by a mixing engineer, though sometimes the record producer or recording artist may assist. After mixing, a mastering engineer prepares the final product for production. Audio mixing may be performed on a mixing ...

Mastering (audio)
Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). In recent years digital masters have become usual, although analog masters—such as audio tapes—are still being used by the manufacturing industry, particularly by a few engineers who specialize in analog mastering. Mastering requires critical listening; however, software tools exist to facilitate the process. Results depend upon the intent of the engineer, the skills of the engineer, the accuracy of the speaker monitors, and the listening environment. Mastering engineers often apply equalization and dynamic range compression in order to optimize sound translation on all playback systems. It is standard practice to make a copy of a master recording—known as a safety copy—in case ...

GRM Daily
GRM Daily (Grime & Rap Music Daily), formerly Grime Daily, is a British urban music outlet and entertainment platform. As the name suggests, the platform is an outlet for UK rap and its various genres, such as UK drill, afroswing, trap, and British hip hop. The platform also serves electronic genres such as UK garage and grime. GRM Daily is the largest media outlet platform in the UK, followed by Link Up TV, SB.TV, Pressplay Media and Mixtape Madness. History In the early 2000s, pirate radio stations such as Rinse FM and DvDs such as Risky Roadz and Lord of the Mics were the only major platforms that grime and UK rap artists could promote themselves through. This meant it was often difficult for an artist to find an audience. With this in mind, Jamal Edwards founded SB.TV in 2007, an online music platform that would be used to showcase artists and allow them an easy platform to release music through. This was followed by the founding of Link Up TV a year later, and finally Grim ...
