Redfest
Redfest was an annual music festival at Robins Cook Farm, Kings Mill Lane, Nutfield, Redhill, Surrey, England. It was established in 2007 as a small (5,000 capacity) independent music festival geared toward youth, with over 70 per cent of its initial attenders expected to be under 17, and promised to be safer than its competitors such as GuilFest and Reading. The 2014 event took place over three days, from 24 to 26 July 2012. It featured a main stage, the Total Uprawr Stage, the Introducing Stage and two dance tents. The headliners on the main stage were Peace and Skindred. This City are an English nu rave and emo band from Brighton. Original drummer Jason Adelinia left to join the The Pipettes, Pipettes in 2007 prior to a profile by The Guardian's Paul Lester. Skindred
Skindred are a Welsh reggae metal band formed in Newport in 1998. Their musical style mixes heavy metal, alternative rock and ragga. The band also integrate elements of punk rock, hardcore punk, reggae, dancehall, jungle, ska, hip hop, drum and bass, dubstep and various other influences into their music. They are well known for their energetic and involving live performances and have won several awards including "Best Live Band" at the 2011 UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards and the "Devotion Award" at the 2011 Kerrang! Redhill, Surrey
Redhill () is a town in the borough of Reigate and Banstead within the county of Surrey, England. The town, which adjoins the town of Reigate to the west, is due south of Croydon in Greater London, and is part of the London commuter belt. Johnny Foreigner
Johnny Foreigner are an indie rock four-piece from Birmingham, UK, consisting of guitarist and lead vocalist Alexei Berrow, bassist and vocalist Kelly Parker (née Southern), drummer Junior Elvis Washington Laidley, and guitarist and visual artist Lewes Herriot. The band released six albums, beginning with a self-release in 2005 and their full-studio debut Waited Up 'til It Was Light in 2008. They were last active in 2016, releasing the record ''Mono No Aware'', touring it, and performing their final show at a Christmas gig in Leicester. Satellite State
A satellite state or dependent state is a country that is formally independent in the world, but under heavy political, economic, and military influence or control from another country. The Thirst are an English indie rock band based in Brixton, London. The band consists of brothers Mensah (vocals/guitar) and Kwame Hart ( bass), Mark Lenihan (guitar) and Marcus Harris ( drums/backing vocals). Thomas Tantrum are an English indie pop band from Southampton, England. Biography Thomas Tantrum consists of Megan Thomas (lead vocals, guitar), Dave Wade Brown (drums, vocals), David Miatt (guitars, vocals), and Jim Shivers (bass, vocals). English singer-songwriter Lily Allen is considered one of Thomas Tantrum's famous fans. The band gained greater exposure in 2008 after Allen placed them in the "Top Friends" section of her MySpace page. Koopa (band)
Koopa is a rock band from Sible Hedingham, near Colchester, Essex, England. The band formed in 2000 by the brothers Stuart Cooper (drums) and Oliver "Ollie" Cooper (vocals and guitar), plus Joe Murphy (vocals, bass, production). SixNationState (also known as Six Nation State or 6NS) is an English indie rock band formed in 2004 in Southampton, England (although the band have since relocated to Reading, Berkshire to strengthen links with London's music scene). The band is known for their low-budget music videos, often starring fans of the band. Career Within the band's first year, they had performed 154 shows, played music festivals in Spain and supported Nine Black Alps and Babyshambles. In 2007, the band performed at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas and recorded sessions for BBC Radio 2's Dermot O'Leary and BBC 6 Music's Marc "Lard" Riley.
