Red Bull Records is a global record label headquartered in Los Angeles, California. It is a subsidiary of the energy drink company Red Bull GmbH and has offices in Los Angeles, London, and New York. Since its inception Red Bull Records has been home to artists and bands such as Awolnation, Twin Atlantic, and Beartooth. History Red Bull Records was founded by Dietrich Mateschitz in 2007 with Red Bull building a recording studio in Santa Monica, California and recording small indie rock bands for free. The label's first major success was in 2011 when Awolnation released their debut album, ''Megalithic Symphony'' which went on to become platinum certified and featured the band's most notable single "Sail", which has sold over 10 million copies to date. A deluxe edition of ''Below'' was released on March 18, 2022, with an additional 20 tracks. Background and promotion On June 23, 2020, Shomo said that the band's fourth album, which he referred to as "LP4", was being recorded at Capital House Studio in Ohio. ''Disease'' is the third studio album by American hardcore punk band Beartooth. It was released on September 28, 2018, through Red Bull Records and UNFD. The album was announced on July 18, 2018, following the leak of one of the songs ("Infection") that is featured on the album. The band then released two (official) singles on July 23: "Disease" and "Bad Listener". On September 7, their third single, "Manipulation", was released. The single "Beaten In Lips" was released on May 13, 2014, along with the pre-order for the album. Background This album was released a year after the band's debut EP ''Sick'' was released. Before the announcement, the band toured with metalcore band Of Mice & Men in the UK, and also played a headline show in London on April 17, 2014. Caleb Joshua Shomo (born December 1, 1992) is an American singer, musician, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. He is most well known as the lead-vocalist of hardcore punk band Beartooth, though he records all studio instrumentals for the band. He is also the former lead vocalist, keyboardist, and early backing vocalist of electronicore band Attack Attack!, and the owner of Studio Records in Columbus, Ohio. Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus.
