A rector (Latin for 'ruler') is a senior official in an educational institution, and can refer to an official in either a university or a secondary school. Outside the English-speaking world the rector is often the most senior official in a university, whilst in the United States the most senior official is often referred to as president and in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth of Nations the most senior official is the chancellor, whose office is primarily ceremonial and titular. Rector Street (BMT Broadway Line)
The Rector Street station is a local station on the BMT Broadway Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the corner of Rector Street and Trinity Place in Financial District, Lower Manhattan, the station is served by the R train at all times except late nights, when the N train takes over service. The W train also serves this station on weekdays. Station layout Since the station is on a grade, there is a noticeable slant. The station has two side platforms, and there are no overpasses, underpasses, or mezzanines to connect the platforms within fare control. The station was overhauled in the late 1970s. The original trim lines were replaced with white cinderblock tiles, except for small recesses in the walls, which contain blue-painted cinderblock tiles. Rector Reservoir
Rector Reservoir is a reservoir in Napa Valley, California. It is located to the northeast of Yountville, and southwest of Lake Berryessa and supplies water to Yountville. The Silverado Trail leads to the reservoir passing it from north to south to the west of the lake and Rector Canyon. To the west is Silver Oak Cellars and Oakville. The waters of the reservoir are impounded by Rector Creek Dam, which was built in 1946 across Rector Creek. Flora and fauna The reservoir forms part of the 340 acre Rector Reservoir Wildlife Area, which has 27 species of mammals, 40 species of birds, and 14 species of reptiles and amphibians. Rector Road Bridge is a historic truss bridge in Denton, Texas. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. It is a 5-panel, pinned Pratt through-truss bridge with I-beam approach spans. It is in total length, with the primary span in length. It was built by the Austin Brothers Company in 1907-08 to span Clear Creek near Sanger, Texas, costing $1,664. Frank and George Austin were then the Atlanta and Dallas agents of the George E.
