Recoil (Wonderla Hyderabad)
Recoil is a Boomerang roller coaster located at Wonderla in Hyderabad, India. It was previously located at Alabama Adventure as Zoomerang until new management in 2012 decided to remove its rides and solely operate as a water park called "Splash Adventure". It also operated at Wonderland Sydney as The Demon after being relocated from World Expo Park. The ride was removed in 2013 and sold to Wonderla in India where it was renamed "Recoil". History It originally opened in 1988 as ''Titan'' at World Expo Park in Brisbane, Australia. It closed after only one season before opening as ''Demon'' in 1992 at Wonderland in Sydney. It operated until the park closed in April 2004, where it then was relocated to Alabama Adventure. Boomerang (roller Coaster)
Boomerang is a model of roller coaster manufactured and designed by Vekoma, a Dutch manufacturer. The roller coaster model name is from the hunting implement based on the traditions of the Indigenous Australians. there are 55 Boomerangs operating. The roller coaster model was created in the early 1980s and was first introduced at four different parks around the world in 1984. Design and ride experience The Boomerang consists of a single train with seven cars, capable of carrying 28 passengers. The ride begins when the train is pulled backwards from the station and up the first lift hill by a catchcar. After being released, the train passes through the station, enters a Cobra roll element (referred to as a boomerang by the designers) and then travels through a vertical loop. Alabama Adventure & Splash Adventure (previously known as VisionLand, Alabama Adventure, Splash Adventure and Alabama Splash Adventure) is a water park and amusement park in Bessemer, Alabama. World Expo Park
World Expo Park was an amusement park built for Expo '88 in Brisbane, Australia. It was positioned on the corner of Melbourne and Glenelg Streets in South Brisbane, the former site of railway sidings for South Brisbane Station, and the current site of the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. The park was opened when the exposition opened on the 30 April 1988. Admission to the park was included in the price of the ticket to the World Expo. World Expo Park contained three roller coasters, one indoor and two outdoor. The later was called the Titan, renamed as The Demon and operated at Wonderland Sydney before being relocated to Alabama as the Zoomerang. A roller coaster inversion is a roller coaster element in which the track turns riders upside-down and then returns them to an upright position. Early forms of inversions were circular in nature and date back to 1848 on the Centrifugal railway in Paris.
