Rebekah Robertson
Rebekah Sarah Robertson (born 4 July 1967 in Surrey, England) is an Australian actress, author and activist who has appeared on television and on stage. In 2012, Robertson founded the first parent led peer support group and information hub for transgender kids and their families in Australia, Transcend. She now advocates for transgender kids and has won numerous awards for her work. Early life Robertson was born in Surrey, England, but grew up in Hobart, Tasmania with her four sisters. Career Acting Rebekah Robertson began her career with an appearance in the television show, ''Problem Creek'' as Min, in 1988. Robertson began appearing in multiple Zootango Theatre Company shows, including ''Alice in Wonderland'' as the Queen of Hearts, ''As You Like It'' as Phoebe, ''The Comedy of Errors'' as Adrianna and ''A Midsummer Night's Dream'' as Hermia, amongst others. ''Blithe Spirit'' is a comic play by Noël Coward, described by the author as "an improbable farce in three acts". The play concerns the socialite and novelist Charles Condomine, who invites the eccentric Mediumship, medium and clairvoyant Madame Arcati to his house to conduct a séance, hoping to gather material for his next book. The scheme backfires when he is haunted by the ghost of his wilful and temperamental first wife, Elvira, after the séance. Puberty blockers, also called puberty inhibitors or hormone blockers, are medicines used to postpone puberty in children. The most commonly used puberty blockers are gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists, which suppress the production of sex hormones, including testosterone and estrogen. Georgie Robertson Stone is an Australian actress, writer and transgender rights advocate. At the age of 10, Stone was the youngest person to receive hormone blockers in Australia, which set a precedent that eventually changed the law that compelled transgender children and their families to apply to the Family Court of Australia to access stage one treatment. Safe Schools Coalition Australia
Prior to November 2017, the Safe Schools Coalition Australia (SSCA) functioned as a group of organisations in Australia focused on LGBTIQ people in schools. Its mission is to create safe and inclusive schools for students, families and staff who are in these groups. The primary activity of the SSCA is the Safe Schools Program that was developed to give support to teachers and schools who had been seeking assistance in the creation of a more inclusive environment for LGBTIQ students and their families.
