Rea Lest-Liik
Rea Lest-Liik (born 14 May 1990), is an Estonian stage and film actress who came to prominence in the 2010s following leading roles in several Estonian films, such as '' Ema'' (2016), ''Mehetapja/Süütu/Vari'' (2017), and ''November'' (2017). She has won several awards for stage and film roles. Early life and education Rea Lest was born and raised in Tallinn. She is a 2009 graduate of the Jakob Westholm Gymnasium secondary school. In 2010, she enrolled at the University of Tartu to study art therapy, but left shortly after to enroll in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre's drama department to study acting under instructor Tiit Ojasoo. In 2012, she won the Voldemar Panso Young Actor Award while studying at academy. She graduated from the academy in 2014. Andrus Kivirähk (born 17 August 1970) is an Estonian writer, a playwright, topical satirist, and screenwriter. As of 2004, 25,000 copies of his novel ''Rehepapp ehk November'' (''Old Barny or November'') had been sold, making him the most popular 21st century Estonian writer. His book '' Mees, kes teadis ussisõnu'' (''The Man Who Spoke Snakish'') (2007) has been one of the top selling books in Estonia. The Berlin International Film Festival (german: Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin), usually called the Berlinale (), is a major international film festival held annually in Berlin, Germany. Founded in 1951 and originally run in June, the festival has been held every February since 1978 and is one of the " Big Three" alongside the Venice Film Festival in Italy and the Cannes Film Festival in France. The Shooting Stars Awards are presented annually by the pan-European network organization European Film Promotion (EFP) to emerging actors from Europe. "Shooting Stars" is an initiative of the EFP for the international promotion and networking of promising up-and-coming actors from the 37 respective EFP member countries. The Estonian Film and Television Awards (EFTA) are the national film industry awards that honor achievements in cinema and television. They were launched in 2017 and are organised by the Estonian Film Institute, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Estonia, the Cultural Endowment of Estonia and Eesti Media.
