Raúl Fernández-Cavada Mateos (born 13 March 1988) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for La Liga club Granada as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Bilbao, Biscay, Fernández joined Athletic Bilbao's prolific youth system, Lezama, at the age of 10. He made his senior debut with the reserve side in the Segunda División B, then went on to spend two seasons on loan in the same tier, first with UB Conquense then Granada CF; with the latter club, he was the most utilised player in his position in a return to Segunda División after an absence of more than two decades. Fernández was definitely promoted to Athletic's first team for 2010–11, following the retirement of veteran Armando. On 23 April 2011, as longtime starter Gorka Iraizoz was suspended following his fifth booking of the campaign, he made his La Liga debut, performing well in a 2–1 home win against Basque neighbours Real Sociedad. Lezama Facilities
The Lezama Facilities ( eu, Lezamako Kirol-instalakuntzak, es, Instalaciones de Lezama), is the training ground and academy of the Primera Division club Athletic Bilbao. Located in the Lezama village around 10 km east of Bilbao, it was opened in 1971. Lezama hosts Athletic's first team for training and the league matches of Athletic EFT (women's team), as well as ten base youth teams: Bilbao Athletic (reserve team, currently playing at the Segunda División B level), women's B team, two junior teams (17 to 19 years old), two cadets (with ages between 15 and 16), two youngster teams (13 and 14) and three children's teams (the youngest, 11 and 12 years of age) which make up the club's football academy. Gorka Iraizoz Moreno (born 6 March 1981) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He spent most of his professional career with Athletic Bilbao, appearing in 392 official games. In La Liga he also represented Espanyol and Girona, winning the 2006 Copa del Rey with the first club. Club career Early years and Espanyol Iraizoz was born in Pamplona, Navarre and raised in nearby Ansoáin. Armando Ribeiro de Aguiar Malda (born 16 January 1971), known simply as Armando, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. 2010–11 La Liga
The 2010–11 La Liga season (known as the ''Liga BBVA'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th since its establishment. The campaign began on 28 August 2010 and ended on 21 May 2011. A total of 20 teams contested the league, 17 of which already contested in the 2009–10 season and three of which were promoted from the Segunda División.
