Razik-Al-Jalil is a judge of the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Razik-Al-Jalil was born on 22 November 1962 to Justice Md. Abdul Jalil and Syeda Hazera Jalil. He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in political science before completing his law degree. Career Razik-Al-Jalil became a lawyer of district courts on 15 September 1992. On 28 January 1995, Razik-Al-Jalil became a lawyer of the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. Razik-Al-Jalil was appointed an additional judge of the High Court Division on 12 February 2015. Sheikh Hassan Arif
Sheikh Hassan Arif is a judge of the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Arif was born on 20 April 1968 to Late Faizur Rahaman and Late Hosne Ara Begum ( Died 8th July 2023) ( Died in Evercare Hospital Chattogram). He completed a bachelor of law and a M.S.S. degree from the University of Chittagong. He completed a second law degree from the University of Wolverhampton. The High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, হাইকোর্ট ডিভিশন) popularly known as the 'High Court' is one of the two divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the other division being the Appellate Division. It consists of the Chief Justice of Bangladesh and the Judges of the High Court Division. FRM Nazmul Ahasan (15 February 1955 – 4 February 2022) was a Bangladeshi lawyer and Judge of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Ahasan was born on 15 February 1955, in Pakistan. After finishing his masters he completed his law degree. Career On 18 March 1986, Ahasan started working as a lawyer in the District Courts. Ahasan became a lawyer in the High Court Division on 22 January 1994 and on 13 December 2009 the Appellate Division. He was a member of the Central Committee of Communist Party of Bangladesh. Syed Sayedul Haque Suman (born 3 September 1979) is a Bangladeshi lawyer and politician. He is the incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Habiganj-4 constituency since January 2024. As an independent candidate, he beat his closest opponent, Md. Mahbub Ali, the incumbent 2-time parliamentarian from Awami League and a former state minister for civil aviation and tourism, by nearly 100,000 votes. Shahidul Alam
Shahidul Alam (born 1955) is a Bangladeshi photojournalist, teacher and social activist. He has been a photographer for more than forty years and "his photographs have been published in almost every major western media outlet". Alam founded the Drik Picture Library in 1989, the Pathshala South Asian Media Institute in Dhaka in 1998, "which has trained hundreds of photographers", and the Chobi Mela International Photography Festival in 1999. The Information and Communication Technology Act, 2006 is an Act passed by the Jatiya Sangsad in 2006 to encourage and regulate ICT services in Bangladesh. 2018 Bangladesh Road-safety Protests
A series of public protests in Bangladesh advocating improved road safety were held from 29 July to 8 August 2018. They were sparked by the deaths of two high-school students in Dhaka struck by a bus operated by an unlicensed driver who was racing to collect passengers. The incident impelled students to demand safer roads and stricter traffic laws, and the demonstrations rapidly spread throughout Bangladesh. The protests were peaceful until 2 August, when police attempted to disperse the demonstrators with tear gas and people believed to be members of a pro-government youth league attacked protesters and journalists.
