Md. Ashraful Kamal is a Justice of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Kamal was born on 3 November 1964. He did his bachelor's degree in law and masters in commerce from the University of Dhaka. Career Kamal started his legal practice on 30 April 1994. He became a lawyer of the High Court Division on 26 September 1996. Kamal became a lawyer of the Bangladesh Supreme Court on 24 August 2010. He was appointed an additional judge of the High Court Division on 12 December. On 10 December 2012, Kamal was made a permanent Judge of the High Court Division. Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury and Kamal scrapped a provision of the Anti Corruption Commission act which curtailed the independence of the commissioners in 2015. He and Justice Chowdhury issued a split verdict challenging the parliamentary membership of Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya who had been convicted in a corruption case. The High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, হাইকোর্ট ডিভিশন) popularly known as the 'High Court' is one of the two divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the other division being the Appellate Division. It consists of the Chief Justice of Bangladesh and the Judges of the High Court Division. The High Court Division exercises both original jurisdiction and appellate jurisdiction in civil and criminal matters. Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya (born 3 February 1948) is a senior Bangladesh Awami League politician who served as a Member of parliament from Chandpur-2 constituency and a minister of several ministries. In 19 November 2021 he nominated for Bangladesh Awami League Presidium member. He received the Bir Bikram, the third highest award for gallantry, for his role in the Bangladesh Liberation War. Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury is a retired judge of the Bangladesh High Court. Turag River
Turag River ( bn, তুরাগ নদী; ) is the upper tributary of the Buriganga, a major river in Bangladesh. The Turag originates from the Bangshi River, the latter an important ''tributary'' of the Dhaleshwari River, flows through Gazipur and joins the Buriganga at Mirpur in Dhaka District.
