Rawayana
Rawayana is a Venezuelan band formed in Caracas in 2007. The group's music combines a variety of musical genres including reggae, funk, and salsa, and the members describe their style as "trippy pop". The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Alberto "Beto" Montenegro, bassist Antonio "Tony" Casas, drummer Andrés Story, and guitarist Alejandro Abeijón. After the release of the album ''Trippy Caribbean'' in 2016, the band was nominated for Best New Artist at the 18th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, losing to Dominican musician Vicente García. Rawayana's 2021 album ''Cuando los Acéfalos Predominan'' discusses the crisis in Venezuela in both its lyrical content as well as the album's accompanying music videos. Punto Fijo
Punto Fijo is the capital city of the municipality of Carirubana in northern Falcón State, Venezuela. It is located on the southwestern coast of the Paraguaná Peninsula. Its metropolitan area includes the parishes of Norte, Carirubana, Punta Cardón and the parish of Judibana in the municipality of Los Taques. Punto Fijo is the largest city in Falcón State. Reggae
Reggae () is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s. The term also denotes the modern popular music of Jamaica and its diaspora. Funk Music
Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century. Vicente García (musician)
Vicente García Guillén (born March 30, 1983) is a Dominican musician, singer and composer. He is the former lead singer of the Dominican alternative rock band Calor Urbano, which he left in 2010 to pursue a solo career. Garcia has collaborated in concerts with renowned artists such as Juan Luis Guerra, Alejandro Sanz, Cultura Profetica, Juanes, Ximena Sariñana and Maná among others. He has won three Latin Grammy awards including Best New Artist in 2017. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, García developed an interest in various musical genres at a young age.
