''Raw Money Raps'' is the debut studio album by American hip hop musician Jeremiah Jae. It was released through Brainfeeder on July 24, 2012. Critical reception At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average score out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 79, based on 8 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews". Marcus J. Moore of ''Beats Per Minute'' commented that "The album dissolves as it progresses, transitioning from upbeat fare to a visceral dream sequence of disoriented meditation set atop a versatile soundtrack." Eric Thorp of '' Clash'' described the album as "an exciting audible adventure into progressive hip-hop." Bram E. Jeremiah Jae
Jeremiah Jae (born June 7, 1989) is an American rapper, record producer, and multimedia artist from Chicago, Illinois. Early life Jeremiah Jae was born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 7, 1989. He is the son of jazz composer and musician Robert Irving III. He grew up in a musical home studying classical piano and guitar. He also taught himself the drums and played in various bands. Career While a teenager, he formed Young Black Preachers (YBP) with his god-brothers, Tre Smith and Aaron "Projeck" Butler, and released a number of EPs alongside his solo work. This output and his ''Lunch Special'' mixes drew the attention of Steve Ellison, aka Flying Lotus, and led to Jae's move to Los Angeles in 2007. Brian Cross (born in 1966), better known as B+ (sometimes stylized as B Plus), is an Irish photographer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. He is a co-founder of Mochilla, a film and music production company. He predominantly photographed the Los Angeles' hip hop scene in the 1990s as well as helped create album art for a number of artists including Q-Tip, Eazy-E, Damian Marley, DJ Shadow, and J Dilla.
