Raw (Hopsin Album)
''Raw'' is the second studio album by American rapper Hopsin. The album was released on November 19, 2010, through Funk Volume. The album contains guest appearances from rappers SwizZz and Cryptic Wisdom. Like its predecessors, the album's production was entirely handled by Hopsin himself. ''Raw'' was supported by two singles, "Nocturnal Rainbows" and "Sag My Pants". Despite the release of the previous album, ''Gazing at the Moonlight'', Hopsin considers ''Raw'' as his debut album. Upon release it peaked at number 46 on the ''Billboard'' Heatseekers Albums chart. Singles "Nocturnal Rainbows" was released as the album's lead single on August 1, 2010. "Sag My Pants" was released as the album's second single on October 8, 2010. On the song, Hopsin disses rappers Drake, Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy and Lupe Fiasco. Marcus Jamal Hopson (born July 18, 1985), known professionally as Hopsin, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Los Angeles. In 2007, he was signed to Ruthless Records, and had founded his own record label, Funk Volume, in 2009. He would then go on to found another record label, Undercover Prodigy, in 2016. Hopsin has released five studio albums, ''Gazing at the Moonlight'' through Ruthless Records, ''Raw'', ''Knock Madness'' and '' Pound Syndrome'' along with the collaborative project Haywire with SwizZz through Funk Volume and '' No Shame''. The iTunes Store is a digital media store operated by Apple Inc. It opened on April 28, 2003, as a result of Steve Jobs' push to open a digital marketplace for music. Ruthless Records was an American record label founded by Eric "Eazy-E" Wright and Jerry Heller in Compton, California in 1986, where all of the Ruthless trademarks have been owned by Comptown Records, Inc. since 1997. Eric Lynn Wright (September 7, 1964 – March 26, 1995), known professionally as Eazy-E, was an American rapper who propelled West Coast rap and gangsta rap by leading the group N.W.A and its label, Ruthless Records. He is often referred to as the "Godfather of Gangsta Rap". Born and raised in Compton, California, Wright had several legal troubles before founding Ruthless in 1987. Hardcore hip hop (also hardcore rap) is a genre of hip hop music that developed through the East Coast hip hop scene in the 1980s.
