Ravisankar
Ravisankar is an Indian playback singer. He has recorded about 100 songs in the Malayalam language. Early life Ravisankar was born and raised in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, to S. Ramachandran Nair and S. Hamsini Thankam. He started learning music as a child from his mother, a teacher at Bharatiya Vidyabhavan, Trivandrum. He went on to study music formally under L. Vaikuntapaty, Perumbavoor G. Ravindranath and M. G. Radhakrishnan. While at school, he took part in singing competitions such as the Kerala University and inter-university competitions, winning several prizes. After completing school in Trivandrum, Ravisankar took a degree in law from the Kerala Law Academy in Trivandrum, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Annamalai University. He started working as a lawyer, before switching to a career in music. Manikyakkallu
''Manikyakkallu'' is a 2011 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by M. Mohanan and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Samvrutha Sunil in the lead roles. The film is about a young teacher who arrives at a village school, who tries to make a definite change in student attitude. The movie is loosely based on the life story of the students and teachers of the Government Brennen Higher Secondary School, Thalassery. Perumbavoor (, Malayalam: പെരുമ്പാവൂർ) is a historic place located at Bank of Periyar (Poorna River) in Ernakulam District in the Indian state of Kerala. It is a part of the Kochi metropolitan area It lies in the north-eastern tip of the Greater Cochin area and is also the headquarters of Kunnathunad Taluk. Padma Shri Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, popularly known as Kaithapram, is a Malayalam lyricist, poet, music director, actor, singer, screenwriter, music therapist and performer of Carnatic music.
