Raunchy (band)
Raunchy is a Danish metal band, formed in 1992. They have released six studio albums, and are currently signed to Massacre Records. History Raunchy was founded in 1992 by Jesper Tilsted, Jesper Kvist, and Morten Toft Hansen, who started playing mostly covers from bands such as Metallica and Slayer. Lars Vognstrup and Lars Christensen joined the band in 1994, and in 1995 they record their first demo, at Borsing Recordings in Århus. The song "Space Story" from the demo was later released on the compilation CD ''Extremity Rising vol. 1'', a rock compilation from Serious Entertainment. Two demos (and two more ''Extremity Rising'' inclusions later) the band finally got their record deal, with Mighty Music's sub label Drug(s) in 2000. Velvet Noise
''Velvet Noise'' is the debut album of Danish metal band Raunchy. The album was first released as a digipack version by Mighty Music's sub label Drug(s). The second edition was released by Nuclear Blast (2002) and features the bonus track "Never be", which is taken from the 3. demo that got them the record deal. Additionally, yet another version called Velvet Noise Extended was released in March 2007. In 2009, Velvet Noise and Confusion Bay were reissued through Metal Mind Productions as limited edition digipaks limited to 2000 copies. Soulfly
Soulfly is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1997, and later based out of Phoenix, Arizona. Soulfly is led by former Sepultura frontman Max Cavalera, who formed the band after he left the Brazilian group in 1996. To date the band has released twelve studio albums, one tour EP, twenty-three singles, one video album, and twelve music videos. Their debut album, ''Soulfly'', was released on April 21, 1998, while their most recent album, ''Totem'', was released on August 5, 2022 Soulfly incorporates many styles of metal with Brazilian tribal and world music, much like Cavalera's previous band Sepultura. Wacken Open Air (, abbreviated as W:O:A) is a rock music, rock music festival, held annually since 1990 on the first weekend of August in the village of Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein, Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. ''Confusion Bay'' is the second album by Danish metal band Raunchy. It was recorded at Hansen Studios in July 2003 and produced by Jacob Hansen. The album gained great reviews and is by many still considered to be the best Raunchy album.During the recordings, Raunchy did a cover track of Faith No More's " From Out of Nowhere," which was released in 2007 on Velvet Noise Extended. A formicarium or ant farm is a vivarium which is designed primarily for the study of ant colonies and how ants behave. Those who study ant behavior are known as myrmecologists.
