Raudeberg
Raudeberg is a village in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the east side of the island of Vågsøy. The villages of Refvika, Vedvika, and Langeneset are located a few kilometers to the north, and the town of Måløy is about to the south. The island of Silda is located about offshore to the northeast of the village of Raudeberg. Nord-Vågsøy Church is located on the eastern edge of the village, right along the coast. Raudeberg (historically spelled ''Rødberg'') was the administrative centre of the former municipality of Nord-Vågsøy, which existed from 1910 until 1964. Today, it is the second largest settlement in the municipality, after the town of Måløy. Nord-Vågsøy Church
Nord-Vågsøy Church ( no, Nord-Vågsøy kyrkje; historically: Vågsøy Church or Vågsøy Chapel) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Raudeberg on the northeastern coast of the island of Vågsøy. It is the church for the Nord-Vågsøy parish which is part of the Nordfjord prosti ( deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, concrete church was built in a long church style in 1960 by the architect Ole Halvorsen. The church seats about 420 people. Kinn Municipality
Kinn is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It was established on 1 January 2020. It is in the traditional districts of Nordfjord and Sunnfjord. The municipality is the only non-contiguous municipality in Norway since the municipality of Bremanger lies in between the north and south parts of Kinn. The administrative centres of the municipality is the two cities of Florø and Måløy. Some villages in the municipality include Rognaldsvåg, Stavang, Grov, Norddalsfjord, Nyttingnes, Steinhovden, Brandsøy, Deknepollen, Holvika, Kvalheim, Langeneset, Raudeberg, Refvika, Silda, Tennebø, Vedvika, and Vågsvåg. Vågsøy (island)
Vågsøy is an island in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies on the northern side of the mouth of the Nordfjorden (Sogn og Fjordane), Nordfjorden, the sixth longest fjord in Norway. The Stadlandet peninsula lies to the north of the island, the islands of Silda, Sogn og Fjordane, Silda and Barmøya and the mainland lie to the east of the island, the island of Husevågøy lies to the south (in the middle of the mouth of the Nordfjorden), and the open ocean lies to the west. Refvika
Refvik or Refvika is a village in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the north side of the island of Vågsøy, about northwest of the village of Raudeberg, south of Vedvika, and southwest of Langenes. The village of Kvalheim is located to the southwest on the other side of a mountain. The village lies between the lake Refvikvatnet and the ocean. Silda is an island in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island is located northeast of the large island of Vågsøy in the Sildagapet bay and about west of the island of Barmøya. Silda sits about east of the small village of Langenes and about northeast of Raudeberg, both on the island of Vågsøy. This island is the site of the 1810 Battle of Silda. In 2014, there were 12 inhabitants on the island, which is only accessible by boat. Måløy () is a town in the municipality of Kinn in Vestland county, Norway. Måløy is located on the southeastern side of the island of Vågsøy, about northeast of the village of Holvika and about south of the village of Raudeberg. This is a list of former municipalities of Norway, i.e. municipalities that no longer exist. When the local council system was introduced in Norway in 1837-38, the country had 392 municipalities. In 1958 the number had grown to a total of 744 rural municipalities, 64 city municipalities as well as a small number of small seaports with '' ladested'' status. A committee led by Nikolai Schei, formed in 1946 to examine the situation, proposed hundreds of mergers to reduce the number of municipalities and improve the quality of local administration. Most of the mergers were carried out, albeit to significant popular protest.
