Ratíškovice
Ratíškovice is a municipality and village in Hodonín District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 4,000 inhabitants. Geography Ratíškovice is located about northeast of Hodonín and southeast of Hodonín. It lies in a flat landscape of the Lower Morava Valley. The highest point is the Náklo hill above sea level. History The first written mention of Ratíškovice is in a deed of bishop Jindřich Zdík from 1141. It is one of the oldest villages in the area. People in Ratíškovice were mainly farmers; they used to grow rye, barley, oat, potatoes, corn, millet and hemp. At the end of the 19th century, they started to work in mines in Dubňany and Milotice. FK Baník Ratíškovice
FK Baník Ratíškovice is a football club from the South Moravian village of Ratíškovice, Czech Republic. It currently plays in the regional division. Baník Ratíškovice played in the Czechoslovak Second League in the 1959–1960 and 1962–1963 seasons; and in the Czech 2. Liga from 1999 to 2002. The greatest achievement of the club was finishing runners-up in the 1999–2000 Czech Cup. After relegation from the Second League in 2002, the club struggled with financial problems and further relegations to lower divisions followed. Michal Kordula
Michal Kordula (born 11 February 1978) is a Czech football manager and former player. Kordula started his career in Baník Ratíškovice. Later, he and was transferred to FK Jablonec 97. Here, he played for seven seasons before moving to Austria to play for FC Kärnten. He then played for 1. FC Slovácko (2009–2013). Vouziers
Vouziers () is a commune of the Ardennes department, northern France. Vouziers is the burial place of the pioneer First World War fighter pilot Roland Garros, after whom the Stade Roland Garros in Paris (the location of the French Open tennis tournament) is named. Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk (the first president of Czechoslovakia) fought at Vouziers with the Czechoslovak Legion in France; there is a monument to the legion, and the president's name given to the city lycee (high school). Milotice
Milotice (german: Milotitz) is a municipality and village in Hodonín District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,900 inhabitants. Geography Milotice is located about north of Hodonín and southeast of Brno. It lies in a flat landscape of the Lower Morava Valley. In the eastern part of the municipality is located the Písečný pond, protected as a nature reserve. History The first written mention of Milotice is from 1341. A fortress in Milotice was first mentioned in 1360. During the Hussite Wars in 1427, the Hussites founded a fortified military camp around the fortress. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the village often changed its owners.
