Raquel Tamarit
Raquel Tamarit i Iranzo ( Sueca, 1978) is a Valencian politician, Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of the Generalitat Valenciana, replacing the resigned Vicent Marzà since May 2022. She had previously been the Regional Secretary of Culture and Sport since 2019 and the mayor of Sueca (2015-2019). Biography Tamarit has a degree in teaching. She began teaching in 2000 in various centers in Catalonia and the Valencian Community. In 2005 she joined the Valencian public education system and 5 years later her job got her job as a civil servant at the ''El Perelló de Sueca'' primary school, as an English language specialist. As a politician, Raquel Tamarit began her membership in the Valencian student union Bloc d'Estudiants Agermanats (BEA) and in 1997 joined the Unitat del Poble Valencià (València's Peoples Union), now part of the Més-Compromís coallition where she is nowadays affiliated. Sueca () is a city in eastern Spain in the Valencian Community. It is situated on the left bank of the river Xúquer. The town of Sueca is separated from the Mediterranean Sea to the east by the Serra de Cullera, though the municipality possesses of Mediterranean coastline. The Generalitat Valenciana is the generic name covering the different self-government institutions under which the Spanish autonomous community of Valencia is politically organized. Vicent Marzà i Ibáñez (; Castelló de la Plana, March 3, 1983) is a Valencian teacher and politician, member of the Valencian Parliament for Compromís and member of Més–Compromís. Between 2015 and 2022 he was Minister of Education, Research, Culture and Sports of the Generalitat Valenciana. Més, also known as Més–Compromís ( en, "More–Commitment"), is a Valencian nationalist party in the Land of Valencia, Spain. It is the largest party in the Coalició Compromís since 2021, being created as a refoundation of the former Bloc Nacionalista Valencià. 2007 Spanish Local Elections
The 2007 Spanish local elections were held on Sunday, 27 May 2007, to elect all 66,131 councillors in the 8,111 municipalities of Spain and all 1,038 seats in 38 provincial deputations. The elections were held simultaneously with regional elections in thirteen autonomous communities, as well as local elections in the three foral deputations of the Basque Country and the eleven island councils in the Balearic and Canary Islands. The results saw few changes overall; most incumbent governments retained their majority, with only a few exceptions. The PP government in the Balearics fell, and a coalition led by PSOE took power. Joan Baldoví
Joan Baldoví Roda (; born 7 August 1958, in Sueca, Valencia) is a Coalició Compromís politician, who has represented Valencia Province in the Congress of Deputies since 2011. Baldoví served as a local councillor for his hometown of Sueca for 14 years. He served as Mayor for the 2007 to 2011 term.
