Randolph George Croome
Randolph George Croome (July 29, 1884 – March 22, 1956) was a railway conductor and political figure in Ontario. He represented Rainy River in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1934 to 1943 as a Liberal member. He was born in Invermay in 1884, the son of William Carl Croome and Elizabeth Loree, and was educated there. In 1904, Croome married Etta Harmer. He worked for the Canadian National Railway. Rainy River (electoral District)
Rainy River was a provincial electoral district in the Canadian province of Ontario, which returned one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1908 to 1999. The district was created in 1908 from part of the former district of Port Arthur and Rainy River, and comprised much of the Rainy River District. Port Arthur, Ontario
Port Arthur was a city in Northern Ontario, Canada, located on Lake Superior. In January 1970, it amalgamated with Fort William and the townships of Neebing and McIntyre to form the city of Thunder Bay. Port Arthur had been the district seat of Thunder Bay District. It is historically notable as a temporary (1882–1885) eastern terminus of the Canadian Pacific Railway. It served as a major transshipment point for lakers that carried cargo to Port Arthur from across the Great Lakes.
