Medininagar, formerly Daltonganj, is a city municipal corporation in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It is the headquarters of Palamu division and Palamu district, as well as the subdivision and block of the same name. The city is situated on the banks of the North Koel River. Chandra Shekhar Dubey (born 2 January 1946) also known as Dadai Dubey was a Cabinet minister in Jharkhand government. He was an elected MLA of Bishrampur (Vidhan Sabha constituency). Dadai Dubey is a member of the Indian National Congress political party. Chandrashekhar Dubey was also member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Dhanbad constituency of Jharkhand.
