Ralph Rogerson
Ralph Rogerson (born 24 February 1937) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Fitzroy Football Club, Fitzroy in the Australian Football League, Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1960s. Rogerson started his career in the South Australian National Football League, where he played with North Adelaide Football Club, North Adelaide. A key position forward, he represented South Australia at the 1958 Melbourne Carnival. He then ventured to Western Australia and joined East Perth Football Club, East Perth and appeared in their losing 1961 West Australian National Football League Grand Final team. His VFL stint began in 1964 and he took part in each of Fitzroy's 18 games that season, all of which they lost. He kicked 27 goals for the year, which was enough to top the Fitzroy goal-kicking. North Adelaide Football Club
North Adelaide Football Club, nicknamed The Roosters, is an Australian rules football club affiliated with the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and SANFL Women's League (SANFLW). The club plays its home games at Prospect Oval, located in Prospect, a northern suburb of Adelaide. The club joined the SAFA in 1888 as the Medindie Football Club (nickname Dingoes), changing its name to North Adelaide in 1893. Waverley wore red and black as their club colours and was based at Central Reserve in the Melbourne suburb of Glen Waverley, Victoria, Glen Waverley. Victorian Football Association
The Victorian Football League (VFL) is an Australian rules football league in Australia serving as one of the second-tier regional semi-professional competitions which sit underneath the fully professional Australian Football League (AFL). It includes teams from clubs based in the eastern states of Australia: Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, and includes reserves teams for the east coast AFL clubs. The league evolved from the former Victorian Football Association (VFA), and it has been known by its current name since 1996. Kevin Murray (Australian Rules Footballer)
Kevin Joseph Murray MBE (born 18 June 1938), commonly nicknamed "Bulldog", is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Fitzroy Football Club in the Victorian Football League in 333 games over 18 seasons. Family The son of Daniel Thomas Murray (1912-1992), and Eileen May Murray (1913-1998), née Dowdle, Kevin Joseph Murray was born on 18 June 1938. Murray's father, Dan, had also played for Fitzroy, including their 1944 VFL Grand Final victory. Fitzroy Football Club
The Fitzroy Football Club is an Australian rules football club currently competing in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA). Formed in 1883 to represent the inner-Melbourne municipality of Fitzroy, the club was a member of the Victorian Football Association (VFA), before becoming a foundation member of the breakaway Victorian Football League (VFL/AFL) in 1897. Fitzroy won a total of eight VFL premierships, of which seven (1898, 1899, 1904, 1905, 1913, 1916 and 1922) were won whilst they were nicknamed the Maroons and one (1944) as the Gorillas.
