Ralph Jesson
Ralph William Jesson (July 22, 1893 – January 11, 1985) was an American college football coach. He served as the head coach at Loyola College of Los Angeles—now known as Loyola Marymount University—in 1920. Biography Jesson attended Pomona College, where he played on the football team in 1915. He served as the freshman coach at Occidental College. In 1920, Jesson served as head coach for Loyola, where he compiled a 0–2–1 record. From 1924 to 1928, he coached the football team at Polytechnic High School in Los Angeles, California. From 1930 to 1934, he coached the school's basketball team. Vivian Rich
Vivian Rich (May 26, 1893 – November 17, 1957) was an American silent film actress. Career Rich was born in Philadelphia and spent her early years there. Later the family moved to Boston and she completed her education at the Boston Latin High School. From high school she went to the stage and played in musical comedy before joining the American film company. She lived with her mother in Santa Barbara, California. She was signed by the Nestor Film Company in 1912 and starred in almost 200 films. Rich retired from films in 1931. Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens Football Players
Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens is the joint athletics program for Pomona College and Pitzer College, two of the Claremont Colleges. It competes in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) of the NCAA Division III. Its mascot is Cecil the Sagehen. Its primary rival is the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags and Athenas, the joint team of the three other undergraduate Claremont Colleges. Sports There are 11 women's and 10 men's teams. 1920 College Football Season
The 1920 college football season had no clear-cut champion, with the ''Official NCAA Division I Football Records Book'' listing California, Georgia, Harvard, Notre Dame, and Princeton as national champions. Only California and Princeton claim national championships for the 1920 season. Andy Smith's Pacific Coast Conference champion California "Wonder Team" was the first national champion from the Pacific Coast. Princeton and Harvard were undefeated and with one tie to each other. Notre Dame was led by its first Walter Camp All-American, George Gipp, who died before the year was over. In the south, fans of either side in Georgia were happy. Georgia and Georgia Tech were both undefeated in Southern play. Georgia Tech lost to Pitt, which was undefeated with two ties.
