Rakesh Ranjan Prasad
Rakesh Ranjan Prasad (July 1955 — 3 June 2018) was an Indian Judge and former Chief Justice of Manipur High Court. Career Prasad was born in 1955 in Bihar. He graduated in Science and passed LL.B. from Patna Law College. Prasad was enrolled as an Advocate in Bihar State Bar Council in 1980 and started practice on Civil, Criminal and Constitutional matters in the Patna High Court. On 6 May 1991 he joined Superior Judicial Service and was appointed Additional District Judge. He was promoted to District and Sessions Judge in 2001. Prasad became Registrar General of Jharkhand High Court on 9 June 2001. On 9 February 2006 he was appointed a Judge of Jharkhand High Court thereafter transferred to Manipur High Court on 1 February 2016. Patna High Court
The Patna High Court is the High Court of the state of Bihar. It was established on 9 February 1916 and later affiliated under the Government of India Act 1915. The court is based in Patna, the administrative capital of the state of Bihar, India. History of the court A proclamation for setting up the court was issued by the governor-general of India on 22 March 1912. Jharkhand High Court
The Jharkhand High Court is one of the newest high courts in India. It was established in 2000. The court has jurisdiction over Jharkhand state. The seat of the court is at Ranchi, the administrative capital of the state. The court has a sanctioned judge strength of 25. The new building of the Jharkhand High Court has been approved. A 165-acre land has been granted near the HEC Industrial Complex, which will be used for the development of the high court, a residential complex for judges and lawyers chambers. Laxmi Kanta Mohapatra (born 10 June 1954) is an Indian Judge and former Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court. Career Mohapatra was born in 1954. He passed Law from M S Law College of Cuttack in 1977 and started practice on Civil, Criminal, Service and Labour matters in Orissa High Court. He served as the legal retainer for South Eastern Railway, Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of Odisha (IPICOL), Odisha State Financial Corporation (OSFC), Stock Exchange and other organizations in the High Court. On 16 September 1999, he was appointed Judge of Orissa High Court. Justice Mohapatra was transferred to Allahabad High Court on 17 October 2012 as an additional judge.
