Rajkumar Udaybhan Narain Singh (born 4 December 1973 in New Delhi, India) is an Indian politician who was the Independent Director of JIADA (Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority) in the Government of Jharkhand and was one of the leaders of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha but later joined Bhartiya Janta Party in 2013. Being close to Rajnath Singh, gained popularity in the party also. Belongs to the erstwhile royal family of Ramgarh Raj and has a strong hold over the North Chotanagpur belt (Chatra, Hazaribagh, etc). Ramgarh Raj was the major ''Zamindari'' estate in the era of the British Raj in the former Indian province of Bihar. Territories which comprised the Ramgarh Raj presently constitute districts of Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Chatra, Giridih, Koderma, and Bokaro with 3672 villages. The entire area is rich in minerals like coal and mica and falls under the Indian State of Jharkhand. Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM (P)) ( 'Jharkhand Development Front (Democratic)') was a state political party in the Indian state of Jharkhand which was founded by former Union Minister and First Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi. Chatra is the headquarters of Chatra district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. History Chatra was the “headquarters” of Ramgarh district in the 18th-19th century. The renowned reformer, Raja Rammohan Roy, was ''sheristadar'' in Ramgarh district, in 1804–05, and used to function from both Ramgarh and Chatra. Hazaribagh district is one of the twenty-four districts of Jharkhand state, India and the district headquarter located in Hazaribagh town. It is currently a part of the Red Corridor. Etymology The district is named after its headquarters, the town of Hazaribagh. The name, Hazaribagh consists of two Persian words, ''hazar'' meaning "one thousand", and ''bagh'' meaning "garden" - so, the literal meaning of Hazaribagh is 'a city of one thousand gardens'.
