Rajendra Gupta
Rajendra Gupta (born 17 October 1947) is an Indian film, television and theatre actor and director who is known for his television roles of Adina Beg Khan Sahib e Azam in 2010 series of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Pandit Jagannath in the 1990s Doordarshan fantasy television series '' Chandrakanta'' and Sudha's father – Jagat Narayan – in the 1998–2001 Sony TV drama '' Saaya''. An alumnus of the National School of Drama (1972 batch), Gupta had worked in numerous television serials and films. He played the role of the ''Mukhiya'' (village headman) of Champaner in the Oscar-nominated 2001 film ''Lagaan''. He also played the role of Kesri Narayan in the TV serial ''Chidiya Ghar'', that aired on Sab TV. Panipat () is a historic city in Haryana, India. It is 95 km north of Delhi and 169 km south of Chandigarh on List of National Highways in India, NH-1. Vijay Dhondopant Tendulkar (6 January 1928 – 19 May 2008) was a leading Indian playwright, movie and television writer, literary essayist, political journalist, and social commentator primarily in Marāthi. Surendra Verma (born 7 September 1941) is a leading Hindi litterateur and playwright. He started out as a playwright, when his play ''Surya Ki Antim Kiran Se Surya Ki Pahli Kiran Tak'' (From sunset to sunrise, 1972) became quite well known; it has been translated into six Indian languages. Kundan Shah (19 October 1947 – 7 October 2017), was an Indian film director and writer. He is known for his comedy classic ''Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro'' (1983) and his 1986–1987, TV series ''Nukkad'' with Saeed Akhtar Mirza. Biography Kundan Shah was born in a Gujarati family. Shah studied direction at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune and he developed an interest in the comedy genre. His directorial debut was the comedy film ''Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro'' (aka Who Pays the Piper) in 1983. He also was the co-writer of the film, with Satish Kaushik. ''Guru'' is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed and co-written by Mani Ratnam. It stars Mithun Chakraborty, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Madhavan, Vidya Balan and Roshan Seth.
