Raja Lawak Astro
''Raja Lawak Astro'' is a Malaysian TV reality show that searches for comedic talent. It started broadcasting in early 2007. Every week contestants perform a joke according to the theme set on stage. They are judged to choose winners to proceed to the next round. The winner is crowned "King of Comedy," as reviewed by the audience and the judge in the final round. On air Raja Lawak Astro aired on Astro Ria during its first season and on Astro Prima during its second through sixth seasons, which were hosted by Johan and Zizan. The sixth and seventh seasons aired on Astro Warna and Mustika HD before the program was transferred to Astro AEC in December 2014. The eighth season became known as ''Super Comedian'', airing in Chinese and the ''Skool of Lawak'' was replaced by Raja Lawak starting in 2014. All-Asian Satellite Television and Radio Operator, doing business as Astro, is a Malaysian satellite television and IPTV provider. Astro Warna
Astro Warna is a 24-hour Malaysian television network in Malaysia. Launch On 1 June 2009, this channel airs local and international comedy programs. It is broadcast on the Astro satellite television platform as part of the Mustika Pack via Channel 132. Before launching Astro Warna, all local comedy programs were shown on either Astro Ria or Astro Prima. After launching Astro Warna, almost all local comedy programs shown on their existing Malay channels moved to Astro Warna, although some programs such as Raja Lawak Astro continued to be shown on Astro Prima for its fourth and fifth season, before moving to Astro Warna in its sixth season. Astro Ria is a 24-hour Southeast Asia Bahasa Malaysia television channel exclusive to the Astro satellite television provider. It was one of the first 22 channels to be launched on Astro in 1996. Astro Ria offers a variety of shows including news, local and Indonesian dramas, movies, reality shows, sports, talk shows, cartoons, concerts, sitcoms, documentaries, cooking shows, quizzes and more. Channel changes were made from October 1, 2007, after Astro introduced a 3-digit channel. Mustika HD
Astro Mustika HD was a television channel by the Malaysian satellite provider Astro. It was the first in-house channel by Astro for telenovelas, movies, specials, telemovie & reality in High Definition in Malaysia. Astro Mustika HD was included in the network's Mustika Pack. When it launched on 21 May 2012 , it broadcast original programs and contents from almost all of Astro's Malay channels, but programs from channels such as Astro Ria, Astro Prima and most other channels were moved to Astro Maya HD when it launched on 24 June 2013. Despite this, some programs such as The Band were broadcast on this channel, although they were also shown on Astro Ria for the SD version. Din Beramboi
Mior Ahmad Fuad bin Mior Badri (22 December 1966 – 2 April 2010), better known by his stage name Din Beramboi, was a Malaysian comedian, actor and radio DJ and was widely known as a talented impersonator and stand-up comic who was very apt at improvisation. His memorable characters include Pak Rahim in the comedy series ''Afi dan Abah'' and the puppet Kicap in the talk show ''Tom Tom Bak'', both shown on Astro Ceria. He also frequently collaborated with Afdlin Shauki, having appearances in some of the latter's films such as ''Buli'' (2004) and ''Baik Punya Cilok'' (2005). Jamali Shadat (18 September 1941 – 3 February 2021) was a Malaysian comedian known for his ventriloquism and mimicry which are seen in his roles as ''Atan'' and ''Atok'' in various stage plays. Career His fame began when he was the first runner up of a Bakat TV competition. After his newly found fame, he was invited to record his jokes on gramophones and later on cassettes and CDs. Ahmad Nabil Ahmad, also known as Nabil Ahmad, Nabil Raja Lawak, and simply Nabil (born 26 September 1983) is a Malaysian entertainer, comedian and actor. He worked as a motorcycle courier before winning the 2008 season of comedy competition '' Raja Lawak''. Mohd Razizan bin Abdul Razak (born 3 May 1984) is a Malaysian comedian, actor, television personality and singer. He has also been a contestant in several reality television shows.
