Raise Hell
Raise Hell is a Swedish thrash metal band from Stockholm, Sweden. The group changed names several times in their early history; their first demo, 1997's ''Nailed'', was released under the name In Cold Blood, a name they abandoned for Raise Hell after signing with Nuclear Blast—which they did while still in their teens. After the album's release the group toured Europe with Dismember, Children of Bodom, and others. Raise Hellat AllMusic Their second album, ''Not Dead Yet'', was released in 1999 and produced by Anders Fridén (of In Flames), and was followed by a tour with Destruction. Guitarist Jonas von Wowern (Nilsson) did the vocals for the first three albums. In 2002 Jimmy Fjällendahl joined the band as vocalist, so Jonas could focus on playing guitar. Necrophobic
Necrophobic is a Swedish blackened death metal band. History The band was formed in 1989 by drummer Joakim Sterner and now-deceased guitarist David Parland. It is believed that the band named themselves after a Slayer song from the 1986 seminal album ''Reign in Blood''. The pair played with a 'revolving door' lineup of musicians until the permanent addition of bassist Tobias Sidegård. This addition occurred prior to recording their debut 7-inch single, ''The Call'', in early 1992. With this lineup and the addition of Anders Strokirk on vocals, who replaced Stefan Harrvik (who had sung on the ''Unholy Prophecies'' demo and ''The Call'' 7" EP), the band entered Sunlight Studio in March 1993 and recorded their debut album ''The Nocturnal Silence''. The band had previously worked with the Wild Rags label and store for its singles. Following the addition of second guitarist Martin Halfdahn, Necrophobic released a four-song extended play, ''Spawned by Evil'', in 1996. This was a te ... In Flames
In Flames is a Swedish heavy metal band, formed by guitarist Jesper Strömblad in Gothenburg in 1990. Alongside At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity, In Flames pioneered the genres known as Swedish death metal and melodic death metal. During the band's early years, In Flames had a varying group of musicians recording with them, including many session musicians. By the release of ''Colony'' (1999), the group had established a stable lineup. Their sixth studio album '' Reroute to Remain'' (2002) showed the band moving toward a newer style of music that moved further away from melodic death metal and closer to alternative metal. This decision was criticized by fans of the group's heavier metal sound; however, it increased the band's mainstream audience and bolstered their album sales. As of 2008, In Flames has sold over two million records worldwide. Since the band's inception, In Flames have released thirteen studio albums, three EPs, and two live DVDs, their latest release bein ... Pär Anders Fridén (born 25 March 1973) is a Swedish vocalist, best known as the lead singer of heavy metal band In Flames. He was also the vocalist of Dark Tranquillity and Passenger, a side project. Career Early career Fridén was originally the vocalist for Dark Tranquillity. He performed on their debut album, Skydancer, but left the band soon after. Two years later he joined In Flames. Coincidentally Mikael Stanne had left In Flames (being only a session player) and switched from rhythm guitar to lead vocals in Dark Tranquillity, so the two effectively traded places.
