Rainer Ernst
Rainer Ernst (born 31 December 1961) is a German former professional association football, footballer who amassed 56 caps for the East Germany national football team, East Germany national team. He was the last captain of East Germany before the German reunification, political change. Club career Youth career Ernst was born in Neustrelitz. He began his football career when he was seven years old, at the youth side of TSG Neustrelitz, BSG Empor Neustrelitz where his father Joachim "Jochen" Ernst became his first trainer. His Father Jochen stayed by his side at SG Dynamo Neustrelitz and in the training centre from 1973 to 1975. He participated in the Spartakiad, V.Kinder- und Jugendspartakiade 1975 Berlin, with the Neubrandenburg student district selection as the captain and his father as the trainer. Neustrelitz (; East Low German: ''Niegenstrelitz'') is a town in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is situated on the shore of the Zierker See in the Mecklenburg Lake District. From 1738 until 1918 it was the capital of the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Hans Jürgen Riediger (born 20 December 1955) is a former footballer from East Germany. Riediger played for BFC Dynamo, scoring 105 goals / 196 DDR-Oberliga matches. He participated in 1976 Summer Olympics and received the gold medal. Career Born in Finsterwalde, Riediger began playing football at BSG Traktor Sonnewalde in 1964, played for BSG Motor Finsterwalde Süd from 1965 to 1970, and joined the youth academy of BFC Dynamo in August 1970. Hartmut Pelka
Hartmut Pelka (11 March 1957 – 23 July 2014) was a German footballer who played for BSG Chemie Leipzig and BFC Dynamo in DDR-Oberliga. Career Born in Hohenmölsen, Pelka began to play football for the youth teams of BSG Aktivist Großgrimma in 1963. He joined the youth department of football club Hallescher FC Chemie in 1968. Pelka came to BSG Chemie Leipzig as a 17-year old in 1974. His first season at BSG Chemie Leipzig was an immediate success. Pelka became the league top goal scorer and greatly contributed to the club's comeback to the DDR-Oberliga. Pelka scored 18 goals in 22 matches of the regular season, plus two goals in the play-offs for the DDR-Oberliga. He scored both goals for BSG Chemie Leipzig in the 2–0 win over 1. 1978–79 DDR-Oberliga
The 1978–79 DDR-Oberliga was the 30th season of the DDR-Oberliga, the first tier of league football in East Germany. The league was contested by fourteen teams. BFC Dynamo won the championship, the club's first of ten consecutive East German championships. Joachim Streich of 1. FC Magdeburg was the league's top scorer of he lague with 23 goals. Streich also took out the seasons East German Footballer of the year award. BFC Dynamo broke four records for the DDR-Oberliga during the season. The team set a new record for the number of consecutive matches won at the start of a season, by winning its first ten matches. Christian Backs (born 26 August 1962) is a German former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Backs came through the youth academy of BFC Dynamo and played professionally for BFC Dynamo (later named FC Berlin) for 12 seasons, winning eight East German titles and two cups in the 1980s. International career During this time he won nine caps for East Germany, scoring once. He was also involved in the East German Olympic team who qualified for the 1984 Olympics, but was forced to stay at home, because of the East Germans' boycott of the tournament. Frank Rohde (born 2 March 1960 in Rostock) is a German former football player and coach. Frank Rohde learned to play football at SG Dynamo Rostock-Mitte, like his three older brothers Peter, Rainer and Jürgen. Their father Egon Rodhe was a youth trainer at SG Dynamo Rostock-Mitte. Egon Rohde was delegated to BFC Dynamo in 1969. He became the head of the youth department and expanded the youth department of BFC Dynamo into a talent factory. Their father brought his four sons with him to East Berlin and Frank Rohde joined the youth department of BFC Dynamo.
