Hans-Jürgen Riediger
Hans Jürgen Riediger (born 20 December 1955) is a former footballer from East Germany. Riediger played for BFC Dynamo, scoring 105 goals / 196 DDR-Oberliga matches. He participated in 1976 Summer Olympics and received the gold medal. Career Born in Finsterwalde, Riediger began playing football at BSG Traktor Sonnewalde in 1964, played for BSG Motor Finsterwalde Süd from 1965 to 1970, and joined the youth academy of BFC Dynamo in August 1970. The striker came to prominence with 34 matches for the East German Junior team. He participated in XXVI.UEFA Turnire 1973. He scored goals for East Germany in the semi-final and the final. East Germany eventually lost the final 3–2 a.e.t. to England at the Stadio Comunale and received the silver medal. Finsterwalde
Finsterwalde (, dsb, Grabin) is a town in the Elbe-Elster district (German: Landkreis), in Lower Lusatia, Brandenburg, Germany. Overview It is situated on the Schackebach, a tributary of the Kleine Elster, 28 m. W.S.W of Cottbus by rail. Pop. (2005) 18,840. Stadio Artemio Franchi
The Stadio Artemio Franchi is a football stadium in Florence, Italy. It is currently the home of ACF Fiorentina. The old nickname of the stadium was "Comunale." When it was first constructed, it was known as the ''Stadio Giovanni Berta'', after Florentine fascist Giovanni Berta. The stadium was officially opened on 13 September 1931 with a match between Fiorentina and Admira Wien (1–0), though it took until 1932 for the stadium to be completely finished and currently holds 47,282. The architect is Pier Luigi Nervi (known for the Nervi Hall in the Vatican) and it is one of the most relevant examples of 20th-century architecture in the city. Reinhard Lauck
Reinhard Lauck (16 September 1946 – 22 October 1997), often nicknamed Mäcki, was a German footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Lauck played for Union Berlin (1968–1973) and BFC Dynamo (1973–1981) in more than 250 East German top-flight matches. Lauck was voted the 1974 and 1976 BFC Footballer of the Year at the 9th and 10th editions of the club's traditional annual ball in the Dynamo-Sporthalle at the beginning of the new year. He led BFC Dynamo to win three East German championships in a row, the first three of overall ten consecutive league titles for the ''Wine Reds''. Reinhard Häfner
Reinhard Häfner (2 February 1952 – 24 October 2016) was a German footballer and coach. Häfner played children's and youth football for his hometown club BSG Motor Sonneberg. As a junior player he was assigned to FC Rot-Weiss Erfurt before joining Dynamo Dresden in 1971. He stayed with the Dresden club until his retirement as a player in 1988 having played in 366 East German first division DDR-Oberliga matches, scoring 49 goals. He is second to Hans-Jürgen Dörner in matches played for Dynamo. Häfner was part of four DDR championship and FDGB Pokal (East German Cup) winning teams there. Between 1971 and 1984 he was capped 58 times for the East Germany national football team, scoring 5 goals, and was part of the gold medal-winning squad at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada. Hans-Jürgen Dörner
Hans-Jürgen "Dixie" Dörner (25 January 1951 – 19 January 2022) was a German football player and coach. He distinguished himself during his career by being named East Germany's player of the year three times (1977, 1984 and 1985) – the only East German player to do this besides goalkeeper Jürgen Croy. Playing career Dörner's playing career began in 1960 with amateur club BSG Energie WAMA Görlitz. He joined Dynamo Dresden in 1968 where he won five first division DDR-Oberliga titles and five FDGB-Pokale (East German Cup), twice winning the DDR-Oberliga and FDGB-Pokal double. He captained Dynamo Dresden from 1977 until his retirement, and is the club's most decorated captain. He was voted the team's greatest player ever in 1999. Jürgen Croy
Jürgen Croy (born 19 October 1946) is a former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He made 86 appearances for the German Democratic Republic national team. Club career Born in Zwickau, Germany, Croy spent his entire footballing career at BSG Sachsenring Zwickau (today FSV Zwickau), with which he won the East German Cup in 1967 and 1975. He was one of East Germany's few international players not to play for a top club such as Dynamo Dresden, FC Carl Zeiss Jena, or FC Magdeburg. As such, Croy did not get the chance to play frequently in European competitions and did not gain the international fame he deserved. The Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark is a multi-purpose sports complex located in the western part of the locality of Prenzlauer Berg in the borough of Pankow in Berlin. The sports complex covers an area of approximately 22 hectares and comprises several facilities. The main building is the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Stadion.
