Rahim Uddin Bharsha
Rahim Uddin Bharosha (1934-2020) was a leading Bangladeshi entrepreneur and former Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and the former Member of Parliament of Extinct Rangpur-10 (now Rangpur-4) seat. Birth and early life Rahim Uddin was born in the house of late Moner Uddin Paiker and Mosammat Nabijan Nesa in Rangpur District in 1934. Career Bharosha was elected to parliament from Rangpur-4 as a Jatiya Party candidate in 1979. Death Rahim Uddin Bharosha died on 11 March 2020. Rangpur ( bn, রংপুর) is a district in Northern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Rangpur Division. Geography Under the Rangpur Division (one of eight divisions) composed of eight districts of northern Bangladesh, the District of Rangpur is bordered on the north by Nilphamari District, on the south by Gaibandha District, on the east by Kurigram, and on the west by Dinajpur district. Rangpur town is the divisional headquarter. The soil composition is mainly alluvial soil (80%) of the Teesta River basin, and the remaining is barind soil. Karimuddin Bharsha was a Jatiya Party (Ershad) politician and the former Member of Parliament of Rangpur-1 & Rangpur-4. Early life Bharsha was born in Haragache, Kaunia Upazila, Rangpur District. Career Bharsa was elected to parliament from Rangpur-1 as a Jatiya Party candidate in September 1991. 1979 Bangladeshi General Election ...
General elections were held in Bangladesh on 18 February 1979. The result was a victory for the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, which won 207 of the 300 seats. Voter turnout was 51.3%. The Awami League became the main opposition party after winning 39 seats. With almost all parties participating, the elections were deemed credible by observers. The Jatiya Sangsad ( bn, জাতীয় সংসদ, lit=National Parliament, translit=Jatiyô Sôngsôd), often referred to simply as the ''Sangsad'' or JS and also known as the House of the Nation, is the supreme legislative body of Bangladesh.
