Rahi (goddess)
Rahi is the regional form of Hindu goddess Radha. This form is associated with the Vithoba (Vitthal) form of Hindu deity Krishna in the region of Maharashtra, India. According to the local legends, Rahi or Radhika is the wife of Vitthal. Indian sociologist G.S. Ghurye states that the regional form Rahi is derived from Radhika, another name of goddess Radha. Worship Goddess Rahi along with the other deities is worshiped at the Vithoba temple of Pandharpur region. Inside the temple, there are two separate temples close to the south of goddess Rakhumai's temple. One temple has idol of goddess Satyabhama and the other temple has idol of goddess Rahi or Radhika. Rahi Masoom Reza (September 1927 – 15 March 1992) was an Indian Urdu and Hindi poet and writer and a Bollywood lyricist. He won the Filmfare Best Dialogue Award for the hit film ''Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki'' in 1979, followed by '' Mili'' and ''Lamhe''. Biography Early life and education Reza was born in a Muslim family in a village named Gangauli, located in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh, one of the most populous state in Northern India. Rahi Mo'ayeri ( رهی معیری in Persian) (April 30, 1909 – November 15, 1968) né: Mohammad Hasan Mo'ayyeri (محمد حسن معیری in Persian), was an Iranian poet and musician. He was born into an artistic and musical family on April 30, 1909 in Tehran. His uncle was the famous Qajar Era poet Foroughi Bastami. He began to write poetry when he was seventeen years old and chose Rahi as his pen name. Rahi studied the works of all the great masters of Persian literature, but was especially fond of Saadi, whose influence is readily visible in his poetry. Rahi was a composer as well as a poet. Rouhollah Khaleghi and Rahi met in 1941, and from this point on, Rahi wrote the lyrics for most of Khaleghi’s compositions as well as those of Morteza Mahjoubi, Ali Tajvidi, Hossein Yahaqqi, Moussa Maroufi, and Javad Maroufi. Rahi Rezvani ( fa, ; born 1978) is an Iranian-born photographer and film director, based in Amsterdam. Early life and education Rezvani was born and raised in Tehran. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Tehran University of Art, and in 2008 a master's degree in photography from The Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Chander Singh Rahi (born Chander Singh Negi, 28 March 1942 – 10 January 2016) was a prominent folk singer, balladeer, musician, poet, storyteller, and cultural conservator from Uttarakhand, India. In recognition of his deep devotion to the music and culture of Uttarakhand, he has been described as the " Bhishma Pitamah of Uttarakhand folk music". Sultan Rahi ( ur, ﺳﻠﻄﺎﻥ ﺭﺍﮨﯽ ; June 24, 1938 – January 9, 1996) was a Pakistani actor, producer and screenwriter. The film was based on Mulk Raj Anand's novel "Two Leaves and a Bud" (1937), which was scripted by Abbas. It was produced as a bilingual in Hindi as ''Rahi'' and in English as ''The Wayfarer'', under the Naya Sansar banner. Its screenplay was by Mohan Abdullah and V. P.
