Ragnar Olason
Ragnar Olason (March 7, 1901 – June 7, 1978) was a Norwegians, Norwegian actor. Olason was engaged with the Det Norske Teatret, Norwegian Theater and the National Theatre (Oslo), National Theater in Oslo. He also performed as a screen actor, and he debuted in the 1940 film ''Godvakker-Maren''. In the 1960s and 1970s, Olason performed on NRK's Fjernsynsteatret, Television Theater. Lier, Norway
Lier is a municipality in Viken county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Lierbyen. The municipality of Lier was established on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The area Åssiden was transferred from Lier to the neighboring municipality of Drammen on 1 July 1951. ''Hans Nielsen Hauge'' is a Norwegian film from 1961 directed by Kåre Bergstrøm. It is a dramatization of the life of the lay minister Hans Nielsen Hauge (1771–1824). The film received a lukewarm reception from ''Verdens Gangs reviewer, who gave it three out of six stars. Plot The film opens in 1804, when Crown Prince Regent Frederick is ruling Denmark–Norway. The Royal Danish Chancellery has issued an arrest warrant for Hans Nielsen Hauge. The arrest warrant is sent to all the county governors in Norway, and Hauge is taken to Christiania in irons. The film follows the trial against Hauge. An impression of his past life and work is given in retrospect. The case against Hauge lasted many years because Copenhagen found no reason to hurry. This was a turning point in Norway, and Napoleon was building an empire in Europe. The case was not concluded until 1813. Fjernsynsteatret was a department of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) which produced plays for television broadcasting. It opened in 1960 (after about a year of experimental operation), and operated until 1990, when a major reorganisation of NRK took place. Its first leader was Arild Brinchmann, who headed the theatre from its start until 1967. Later directors were Tore Breda Thoresen from 1967 to 1980, and Magne Bleness from 1980 to 1990.
