Taufiq Rafat
Taufiq Rafat (25 October 1927 – 2 August 1998), was a Pakistani author and poet. His work influenced other Pakistani poets and he is credited with the introduction of the concept of a "Pakistani idiom" in English literature. Rafat conducted poetry workshops, which influenced many younger poets. After surviving a stroke in 1984, he wrote no more.He died fourteen years later in 1998 at the age of 71 in Lahore. Payan Rafat
Payan Rafat ( fa, پایان رأفت, born September 9, 1970 in Astara, Iran) is a retired Iranian footballer and current coach. He served his golden days in Persepolis. His style of play was similar to Iranian football legend Ali Daei. He is considered one of the most memorable players in history of Tehran derby, the rivalry between Persepolis and Esteghlal; as he received a punch from rival goalkeeper Parviz Boroumand in the famous derby played in 2000. Darius Justin Rafat (born 13 December 1977) is a Canadian music producer, composer, bandleader, music agent and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of the music agency and production firm Fat Music London. Early life Rafat was born 13 December 1977 to Judy Rafat a Canadian jazz singer and Prof. Dr. Godrat (Nodi) Rafat, a Persian scientist and geology professor. In early childhood he played the piano and drums, and started composing his first pieces. He co-produced his mother's album ''Con Alma'' in New York in 1997 which featured legendary jazz musicians Paquito D'Riviera, Kenny Barron, Rufus Reid, Claudio Roditi, Frank Wess and Ignacio Berroa. Career At the age of twenty, he signed with Polygram Music Publishing in Hamburg, Germany. Taqi Rafat
Mirza Taghi Khan Raf'at ( fa, میرزا تقی خان رفعت; ) was the son of Agha Mohammad Tabrizi. He was educated in Istanbul and during World War I returned to Tabriz to teach French in high school. He was a modernist poet who wrote in Turkish and French as well as Persian. Politically, he was a follower of Mohammad Khiabani, and edited the latter's newspaper, ''Tajaddod'' ("Modernity"), an organ of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, as well as the magazine ''Azadistan Azadistan ( fa, آزادستان, Āzādestān, lit=The Land of Freedom), was a short-lived state in Iranian Azerbaijan that lasted from the early 1920 until September 1920.
