Rae Taylor
Rae Martin Taylor (born 1935) is a retired senior Australian public servant and policymaker. Education Taylor is a University of Sydney graduate, with a bachelor's degree in Economics (with honours). Career Rae Taylor joined the Commonwealth Public Service at the Commonwealth Bureau of Census and Statistics in 1956. He subsequently was employed in the Department of Primary Industry, the Department of Trade and Industry, the Department of Territories and the Department of Housing. In 1969 Taylor joined the Department of Shipping and Transport, becoming a Deputy Secretary of the Department in 1975. Taylor was appointed to his first Secretary role in December 1978, becoming head of the Department of Employment and Youth Affairs. In May 1982, Taylor was shifted to a position as head of the Department of Transport and Construction. Graham Glenn
Graham Gordon Glenn (born 30 July 1933) is a former senior Australian public servant. Career Graham Glenn joined the Commonwealth public service in 1950 as a cadet in the Department of Trade and Customs. Glenn was appointed Commissioner of the Public Service Board as in 1984, having been with the Board since 1958 and previously having served as Deputy Commissioner starting in 1977. In July 1987, Glenn was appointed Secretary of the Australian Government Department of Administrative Services, serving in that role until March 1989 when he was to become the Secretary of the Department of Industrial Relations. Peter Wilenski
Peter Stephen Wilenski, (10 May 1939 – 3 November 1994) was a senior Australian public servant and ambassador. He was a champion of women's rights and equal opportunity. Early life Peter Wilenski was born in Łódź, Poland on 10 May 1939. He came to Australia in 1943 as a Jewish refugee, due to World War II conflict and persecution of Jewish people in his home country. His family spent time in a Soviet internment camp before coming to Australia. For high school education, he attended Sydney Boys High School. He later studied at the University of Sydney where he met his first wife, Gail Radford, when both were student politicians. Anthony Stuart "Tony" Blunn (born 1936) is a retired Australian senior public servant. Life and career Tony Blunn was born in 1936. He joined the Australian Public Service at the age of 21, after four years with a firm of solicitors in Melbourne. In 1979 Blunn took a position in the Department of Finance, in an area linked with works, mainland Territories, defence and other areas. He moved to the Department of Business and Consumer Affairs in 1980, and was appointed to his first permanent Secretary role in 1981 as head of the Department of the Capital Territory. Charles Halton (public Servant)
Charles Christopher Halton (4 March 193216 October 2013) was a senior Australian public servant. Life and career Charles Halton was born on 4 March 1932 in Yorkshire, Northern England. As an engineer in England in the 1950s and 60s, Halton was associated with the development of the Concorde and the guidance system of the Bristol Bloodhound. Gough Whitlam appointed Halton Secretary of the Department of Transport in 1973, and Halton and his family moved to Canberra from Canada where they had lived since 1969.
