Radka Kovaříková
Radka Kovaříková (born 26 February 1975) is a Czech former competitive pair skater. With René Novotný, she is the 1995 World champion and 1995 European silver medalist. Personal life Kovaříková was born on 6 February 1975 in Brno. She and René Novotný were engaged in 1993 and married on 1 June 1996. In 2011, Kovaříková confirmed that they had divorced. She is married to the director of Cinderella on Ice, Jindřich Šimek, with whom she has a daughter, Klára. Career Kovaříková teamed up with René Novotný in 1988. 1989–1990 season They won the 1989 Prague Skate and took bronze at three events – the 1989 Nebelhorn Trophy, 1989 Grand Prix International de Paris, and 1989 Skate Electric. Skate Electric
The St. Ivel International was an annual international figure skating competition at the Richmond Ice Rink in England. Sponsored by the National Ice Skating Association, it included competitions in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. In most years it was held in late September or early October. History The competition was first held in 1978 under the name Rotary Watches International and was renamed in 1980 when it became sponsored by the St. Ivel dairy product brand. In 1988, the event was renamed to (or replaced by) Skate Electric, which in some years was held in both spring and fall versions. The competition originally scheduled for October 1991 was cancelled due to loss of sponsorship, and the British federation has not held another annual senior international competition in the years since. The NHK Trophy is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), organized and hosted by the Japan Skating Federation. The first NHK Trophy was held in 1979 in Tokyo. When the ISU launched the Champions Series (later renamed the Grand Prix Series) in 1995, the NHK Trophy was one of the five qualifying events. It has been a Grand Prix event every year since. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The Bofrost Cup on Ice was an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), organized and hosted by the German Ice Skating Union (). The first iteration was held in 1986 in Frankfurt. When the ISU launched the ISU Champions Series, Champions Series (later renamed the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, Grand Prix Series) in 1995, the German competition – then called the Nations Cup – was one of the five qualifying events. It remained a Grand Prix event until 2002, after which point it was supplanted by the Cup of China. This event was held under several names, including the Fujifilm Trophy and the Sparkassen Cup on Ice. The last installment of this competition took place in 2004. The first iteration of the Grand Prix de France was held in 1987 in Paris. When the ISU launched the Champions Series (later renamed the Grand Prix Series) in 1995, the Grand Prix de France was one of the five qualifying events.
