Radio Paradise is a non-commercial listener-supported Internet radio station that helped to redefine the radio station for the internet era. It is known for high quality audio streams and curated playlists. The station is based in the United States but has a significant international audience, with many of the songs and station greetings on its "world" stream in multiple languages. The station is known familiarly as "RP". Programming As of 2020, RP has four curated playlists: Rock Mix, emphasizing modern and classic rock music, rock; World/Etc Mix, emphasizing world music, world and electronic music, electronic music; Mellow Mix, emphasizing songs with a more relaxing tone; and Main Mix, combining the three. Borrego Valley
Borrego Valley Groundwater Basin, located in the very southern region of California, is one of the driest basins in the state. KPOI-FM (105.9 MHz) is a commercial radio station in Honolulu, Hawaii, known as "105.9 The Wave, Hawaii's Relaxing Favorites." WJIB
WJIB (740 AM) is a radio station based in Cambridge, Massachusetts and serving the Boston DMA. The playlist draws from 5,400 records, concentrating on adult standards from the 1930s through the 1960s, and softer pop music from the 1950s and 1960s. It is owned by Bob Bittner Broadcasting, along with sister station WJTO in Bath, Maine. WJIB runs no commercial advertisements (instead relying on listener donations, in the same vein as a non-commercial station), and broadcast in AM stereo until the summer of 2012. Paradise, California
Paradise is a town in Butte County, California, United States in the Sierra Nevada foothills above the northeastern Sacramento Valley. As of the 2020 census, the town population was 4,764. On November 8, 2018, a major wildfire, the Camp Fire, destroyed most of Paradise and much of the adjacent communities of Magalia, Butte Creek Canyon, and Concow. After the Camp Fire, the population declined by more than 90%. In January 2019, the state of California reported 4,600 residents, and a door-to-door count in April 2019 found 2,034. KPIG-FM (107.5 FM, "K-PIG") is a radio station located near the city of Santa Cruz, California, United States. Founded in 1988, the studio is based in Watsonville, California, and broadcasts to the counties of Santa Cruz and Monterey.
