Radio Antena M
Antena M is an independent radio station and website in Montenegro. Founded in the early 1990s by university professor and businessman Miodrag Perović, the station was organizationally under the umbrella of his Montenegropublic company. In September 1995, the station's place in the Montenegropublic's organizational structure got changed when it was registered within the company as a distinct entity whose managing director became Darko Šuković. Podgorica
Podgorica (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Подгорица, ; Literal translation, lit. 'under the hill') is the Capital city, capital and List of cities and towns in Montenegro, largest city of Montenegro. The city was formerly known as Titograd (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Титоград, ) between 1946 and 1992—in the period that Montenegro formed, as the Socialist Republic of Montenegro in honour of Marshal of Yugoslavia, Marshal Josip Broz Tito. The city was largely destroyed during the bombing of Podgorica in World War II and accordingly the city is now dominated by architecture from the following decades of communism. Further but less substantial damage was caused by the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, 1999 bombing by NATO forces. The surrounding landscape is predominantly Mountain range, mountainous terrain. Darko Šuković
Darko Šuković Cyrillic: Дарко Шуковић, born in Pavino Polje, is a Montenegrin journalist. He is the owner and editor in chief at '' ''Radio Antena M'' and at the news website ''Portal Antena M''. He is also the editor and host of the TV talk show '' Živa istina''. Career He graduated with a law degree from the University of Law in Podgorica. His career as a journalist started 1988 at ''Radio Titograd'' (now ''Radio Crne Gore''). During 1990 he became the editor in chief of the magazine '' Krug'', the first independent political newsletter in Montenegro. In 1991 he started working as a journalist at the weekly magazine, the Monitor. From 1994–1996 he was the editor in chief at ''Antena M'', the first independent news radio station in Montenegro. Miodrag Perović
Miodrag "Miško" Perović (born in Belgrade) is a Montenegrin journalist, media publisher, university professor, political activist, and businessman. Most notable for starting various media outlets in Montenegro during the 1990s and 2000s such as FM radio station Antena M, weekly newsmagazine ''Monitor'' (1990), daily newspaper ''Vijesti'' (1997), and television station TV Vijesti (2008), Perović is a political opinion maker in Montenegro. His influence and prominence is also exerted through his family - his sister Milka Ljumović is a well known Montenegrin banker and the founder of Crnogorska komercijalna banka (CKB), which was sold to Hungarian OTP Group in late August 2006 for €105 million. Perović was also a fierce proponent for the formation of a Montenegrin cultural society, today known as Matica crnogorska. ''Monitor'' () is a weekly news magazine published in Podgorica, Montenegro. Started on October 19, 1990 by journalist Milka Tadić, Milka Tadić Mijović, media publisher Miodrag Perović and businessman Stanislav Koprivica, the magazine appeared at a time when the One-party state, single-party political system in SFR Yugoslavia had been abolished and its constituent republics were preparing for parliamentary elections with multiple parties.
