Radcliffe Bus Station
Radcliffe bus station is a bus station in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester and, in its previous form, opened in April 1984. It was situated on Dale Street in Radcliffe. The newly constructed Radcliffe bus station is situated at the junction of the A665 (Pilkington Road) and Sion street, Radcliffe. Present In December 2015 the new bus station was built and opened on its new site, behind the General Post office, following plans for Radcliffe's regeneration as outlined by Bury Council. Services Services are run by Go North West, Diamond North West, Tyrers & Rosso ( JPT's former services are now run by Stagecoach Manchester, as of May 2014). The new station has four stands, A, B, C and D. Radcliffe, Greater Manchester
Radcliffe is a market town in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, Greater Manchester, England. It lies in the Irwell Valley north-northwest of Manchester and south-west of Bury and is contiguous with Whitefield to the south. The disused Manchester Bolton & Bury Canal bisects the town. Evidence of Mesolithic, Roman and Norman activity has been found in Radcliffe and its surroundings. A Roman road passes through the area, along the border between Radcliffe and Bury. Radcliffe appears in an entry of the Domesday Book as "Radeclive" and in the High Middle Ages formed a small parish and township centred on the Church of St Mary and the manorial Radcliffe Tower, both of which are Grade I listed buildings. Plentiful coal in the area facilitated the Industrial Revolution, providing fuel for the cotton spinning and papermaking industries. Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is the public body responsible for co-ordinating transport services throughout Greater Manchester in North West England. Go North West is a bus operator in Greater Manchester, England. It is a subsidiary of the Go-Ahead Group. History Go North West commenced operations on 2 June 2019 following the Go-Ahead Group's purchase of First Greater Manchester's Queens Road depot with 163 vehicles. In December 2022, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority announced that Go North West had won the first round of franchising to run the first Transport for Greater Manchester 'Bee Network' bus services in Bolton and Wigan from September 2023, displacing the operations of Diamond North West and Stagecoach Manchester in both towns. Bolton (, locally ) is a large town in Greater Manchester in North West England, formerly a part of Lancashire. A former mill town, Bolton has been a production centre for textiles since Flemish people, Flemish weavers settled in the area in the 14th century, introducing a wool and cotton-weaving tradition. The urbanisation and development of the town largely coincided with the introduction of textile manufacture during the Industrial Revolution. Bury ( ) is a market town on the River Irwell in Greater Manchester, England. Metropolitan Borough of Bury is administered from the town, which had an estimated population of 78,723 in 2015. Royal Bolton Hospital
The Royal Bolton Hospital is an acute general hospital in Farnworth, Greater Manchester. It is managed by the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. History The hospital was established as a fever hospital and built adjacent to the 'Fishpool Workhouse' in 1872. An isolation block was added in 1893 and a purpose-built infirmary, known as Townley's Hospital, was erected on the site in 1896.
